The Major Sins in Islam

Big sins (kabair) - a serious misdemeanors, which warned about the danger of ayats and hadiths. They are the reason for the punishment of the earth and follow the eternal life of those who committed them. Also refer to the great sins, and others not specifically mentioned in the Hadith and ayats of the Quran actions and deeds, which by their gravity like a great sin mentioned in the Hadith and ayats. The greatest sins are not forgiven by God - is disbelief and polytheism. For Allah - the only God and there is no other God but Him. [1]

The number of major sins disputed. The reason for this - the various transmission of hadith. In one of his hadiths, our Prophet (Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam) said: "Do you want to, I'll let you know what are the most serious sins? ... This is polytheism, irreverent attitude to parents and perjury."

In another hadith also says: "Beware the terrible seven, deadly sins: giving the fellow to Allah, sorcery, murder of an innocent man, wrongful use of the property of orphans, practicing usury, desertion from the battlefield, charges of adultery chaste Muslim women". [2]

Thus, it was determined seven of the greatest sins. According to the transfer of Abu Dawud (d. 275 Hidzhry/889y.) of up to nine major sins. By the above-mentioned seven sins were added two more: disobedience to parents and committing a prohibited act in the main mosque, "Al-Haram." [3] The book of Hafiz Dhahabi (d. 748 Hidzhry/1347) "Kitabul-Kabair" referred to the number of major sins reaches 76. In Kuran Allah Almighty said:"O believers, repent, and let your repentance will be determined, without returning to sin " [5]

Ibn Madzhah, so be it Allah's mercy, gave the Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him: It means: "Whoever commits the sincere repentance of their sins as if they did not commit." Narrated by al-Bukhari and Muslim.

Committed sins should immediately repent, though, what were the sins committed by small or large. There is much evidence of the Kuran, from the Sunnah of the Prophet, peace be upon him, and the unanimous opinion of the theologians of Islam on the duty of repentance of sins. Do not care - this is when people violate and commit sins and are not obedient to Allah Almighty. Wise Muslim corrects itself and in control of himself in his actions, that they have been approved by Allah the Almighty, and are consistent with the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him.

In the case of a sin man should know that Forgiving and Merciful Creator, therefore, accepts repentance and give forgiveness. No matter how many sins, once a person turned in repentance to Allah, then Allah will forgive him.

This is stated Sura 39, "Al-Zumar," ayat 53:"Tell those who oppress yourself, you have committed sins, that they have not lost hope for the mercy of Allah, verily Allah will grant forgiveness of sins."

Hence, understand that people should not lose hope for the grace of Allah Almighty, because we who have lost hope for the forgiveness of God, he commits a great sin.

Need to know your limits in this life, which is permissible, it is not permissible that the obligation that it is impossible, to know what to do, be observant commandments of Allah Almighty and to protect themselves from committing sins and violations. Do not give yourself to persuade the sins, even if it is a small sin. Whoever commits a sin, can continue on this path and do not notice how the accumulated sins, and his situation is deteriorating. Do not think that this is a small sin and ignore it. Man must control themselves not only with respect to the great sins, but also take care not to continue to commit minor sins.

There are different kinds of repentance (Tawbah): complete, incomplete, imperfect repentance.

The first kind of repentance - complete repentance. This rejection of all kinds of sins and violations. For example, if a person drinks alcohol, or commit adultery, or acquires what is forbidden, or perjury and the like All this - and the reason for punishment of sin, and if he repent of all these sins and will no longer be returned to them, and about what regrets made, it is full of repentance.

The second kind of repentance - repentance is incomplete. This is when a person repents, not all of his sins, but only some. If he had committed some sin in the presence of other sins, and repent, and then decided not to make more specific sin, it is - an incomplete confession. This repentance is recorded in relation to one or more of sin, but not in relation to all sins.

The third kind of penance - an imperfect repentance. This is when a person makes repentance, but then again repeats the sin. However, this does not mean that his previous confession was not accepted.

Anyone who wants to be saved from the punishment in Hell, let him repent sincerely in full, without returning to sin, and that his repentance was not until his death. It is stated in the Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him: It means "pious believer - is the one who looks at your sin, and sees it as though it were a mountain, which may fall on him, and the sinner - the one who looks at the their sin, and sees him in the amount of flies that flew to him and he waved her hand. " Narrated by Imam al-Bukhari. Here we distinguish between those who are actually worried, afraid, trying not to repeat the sin, and making a sincere repentance, always feel the excitement as opposed to someone who commits a sin, not noticing it.

Important note: know that Muslims are sinners who have committed great sins, and died without repentance, there are two types:

- Some people receive forgiveness of Allah and enter Paradise without suffering through the grace of God;

- Others will be punished in Hell for a little while for those sins committed in this life, then they come out of Hell and enter Paradise, and will live there forever.

The unbeliever, who left this life with sin without faith in Allah and His Messenger, will be forever in Hell.

The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said: It means "come out of Hell whoever said" La ilaha illallah "and at its heart is the foundation of the Faith." Narrated by Imam al-Bukhari. This means that the person who uttered the words: "La ilyaha illyallah" (meaning: there is no god except Allah and Muhammad - the Messenger of Allah), and in fact it is the foundation of faith - he is a Muslim, even if committed in life various sins and was punished for the violations. Such a person will not be forever in Hell, he will come out of Hell, because he was the foundation of faith, which was the cause of salvation from eternal punishment. And as someone who has died an unbeliever, no it will not be sorry, and he has no mercy in the hereafter.

Allah Almighty says in the Holy Kuran: "Verily Allah will not forgive the one who ascribes partners to Him who does not believe in Him, as expected, since the Prophet Muhammad delivered, peace be upon him, and forgives whomever He wants of the faithful sinners.[6]

Anyone who wishes to receive a gift from Allah the Almighty to be in Paradise, let him commit a sincere repentance, without a full return to the commission of sin, having a decisive move away from sins and violations, and keep it until the end of his life. Remember that Allah Almighty, Merciful and Forgiving, so no matter how broke people in his life, he should not lose hope in the mercy of Allah and His forgiveness. Therefore, no matter how many sins have been, we should think about how to free yourself from them. There are many stories about what people were sinners, and then become saints. We ask Allah the Almighty, that He has given us to be always honest, truthful, and have hope for the forgiveness of Allah and that we were among those who frees himself from the sins and violations of life and goes on to the path of truth - the way of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, and his pious companions.
