Usage of Video Courses at the
Lessons of English in Non-Linguistic Educational Institutions.
It
is necessary to know the English language in the modern world. To master the
language as effective as possible we must use video materials. One of such
video-courses is “Business English Portfolio”.
The problem of audio and video materials was studied by such authors as Ternopolskiy O.B., Fedorenko Y.P., Verisokin Y.I. They wrote about effectiveness of such materials usage but according the specially created method guides. That is why special method guides was
created to use video-courses is “Business English Portfolio” effectively.
The
aim of the work is to show the methodology of work with video course “Business English Portfolio” according to the method guides. There are exercises for each of 21 units of the
course. The first group of exercises is before watching. Students read the list
of words and work with them.
After this students do some
exercises. For
example:

next stage is watching the corresponding unit. After watching the unit students
do the exercises.

is recommended to work with this film about
20-25 minutes every lesson. Students can do some exercises at home too.
The usage of video courses at the English lessons showed the effectiveness of this method guides, rising of the
students’ interest to the English language, improving of their knowledge. The structure of the method guides helps mastering the materials.
