The theme of the lesson:  “I want to be an astronaut”

The aim of the lesson: 

a) To introduce the children with the new words according to the space and teach them to read, understand the text and answer the questions.

b) To develop their speaking, reading and answering abilities

c) To develop their interesting for the language to teach them to sing songs and recite poems.

The visuals of the lesson: interactive board, poster, pictures.

The method of the lesson: asking and answering.

The procedure of the lesson:

I.                  Organization moment.    

Teacher: Good morning, children!

P: Good morning, teacher!

Teacher: How are you?

P1: I am fine, thank you. What is your name?

P2: My name is Ali. How old are you?

P3: I am 10. Where are you from?

P4: I am from Kazakhstan. What do you like?

P5: I like apple.

Teacher: You talked with each other and I think it’s high time begin out lesson, look, there are 3 pictures in every table, it means we will work in  3 groups and now you are to choose one of them, please, take your seats.

1-group – The Sun, 2-group –the moon, 3-group – The star.

Teacher: There are 3 papers on every table and you must put your marks at every part of the lesson, put “5” with red, “4” with blue and “3” with yellow markers, Ok?

II.              Checking up home task:

Ex 5, p 172.

Teacher:Your home task was to learn by heart the dialogue, now who wants to act it?

III.           Class work:

Teacher:Now children, I look at these pictures.

Who is this? What is he?

P1: This is ToktarAubakirov

P2: This is Yuri Gagarin.

P3: This is TalgatMusabayev

Teacher: Yes, you are right, say me what we are going to speak about?

P1: About cosmonauts.

Teacher: Yes, today we are going to speak about space and astronauts.

At first look at the blackboard, listen and repeat the new words connected with space, then you’ll read yourselves, ok?

Teacher: Open your copybooks and put down the date and the theme of the lesson, write down the new words too.

Teacher: Open your books at page 172, Ex 2.

Read and answer the questions.

-                     Where was Abai Kunanbayev born?

-                     Where was Yuri Gagarin born?

P1: He was born in Russia.

Teacher: We are going to read the dialogue between Victor and Dmitry,

Ex 3, p173. Read the text and translate it.

Dmitry: A book about the Sun.

Victor: Is it interesting?

Dmitry: Yes, Listen to this.

The Sun is about 5 billion years old. The Sun is very old. From space, the Earth is blue with areas of brown, green and white. Some astronomers think that the Moon was a planet.

Teacher: Ex 4, p173.

Read and say true or false.
