PUBLISHING ENTERPRISE INNOVATION ACTIVITY RISKS CLASSIFICATION

Scientific and technical progress of all public activity spheres and quick competitional, economic relationships development stimulates enterprises and publishing houses to implement innovations. Innovations implementation is performed by design and realization of new or improved product, technological process or new approach to social services. On one hand they bring some advantages for enterprise and on the other hand they have high risks and ambiguousness. One of the main tasks of innovation activity management in publishing house or in enterprise on the whole is to identify risks on time.

In modern literature risks are described as a possibility of loss, income deficiency, uncontrolled functioning environment development, deviations from the goals set etc. [1, p. 150].  In such a way we can say, that risks on publishing enterprises mean financial losses, shortfall in profit or unclear result of the planned innovation activity. Risk of enterprise innovation activity is the negative factor for its innovation potential.

Nowadays there are a lot of approaches to innovation activity risks understanding but there is no conception of this category that would include the complexity of research, technological and strategic enterprise processes. This also concerns risks classification but after systematizing scientific information, we suggest to classify risks of publishers' innovation activity the following way:

- by field of appearing;

- by subject (depends on the system of innovation activity a publishing enterprise has chosen - open or closed, i.e. by areas of innovation - whether the risks will be inside the enterprise or outside);

- by investment sources;

- by sources of appearing (see picture.1).

As we can see according to this classification risks are divided into groups by different variative characteristics. Modern researchers have set a lot of criteria of risks classification during innovation activity on publishing enterprises. Actually, we cannot accurately predict all the parameters of future innovation activity. That is the reason why such activity is a prospective source of risk for publishing.

So the risks identification and classification are integral elements of publishing enterprises successful innovation activity. Modern and appropriate implementation of risks mitigation ways will conduce successful innovation activity, which will lead to enterprise effectiveness increase and will consolidate its competitive position on the market. So the suggested innovation activity risks classification can be useful for national publishing enterprises in forming effective, flexible and system-oriented innovation activity planning and management mechanism.
