The significance of the development of integrated logistics systems

To increase the competitiveness of logistics service we should provide trust and high level of service for customers and timely delivery. Using the elements of integrated logistics namely combining the branches such as transportation, placement customs service, mediation, purchase, selling, packing up, the logistic operators will achieve, meeting the needs of customers, reduction of logistic loss and will save time. In its turn this certainly will help the state’s economy and the sustainable development. That’s why the development of integrated logistic systems is actual. According to the founder of integrated logistic systems, professor and scientist D. G. Bauersokston the term of “integrated logistic system” appeard in 1980 and became widely known (famous) in 1990.

Integrated logistic system provides delivery of goods and service with value added through continuous and long-lasting range. Value added is the act of raising the cost of product or service for buyers. That’s why the logistic combines distribution, production and purchase [1].

The need of creating of the integrated logistic system is according to some situations which have global property. They are:

- the changings in customer’s demand and contact;

- the progress in computer technology;

- the changings in strategy of demand management;

- the affect of the last purchase experience;

- the globalization of international markets;

- the changings in state settlement of economic infrastructure in many countries of the world;

- the spreading of quality management system;

- the structural changing of organization of business [2].

The methods and rules of logistic system are directed to find convenient solutions and reduction of logistic loss. It gives the opportunities to reduce all kinds of loss. For example the loss of transportation and placement and finance the orders, the purchase, the management of funds and packing, the reductions of logistic risks, the equipment, the adverts, the marketing research. Convinient logistic solutions are performed not only by the index of low loss, but also by the index of order fulfillment and the quality of logistic service.

The integrated logistic system gives. The opportunities for the following:

- the management of manufacture and purchase by establishing possible agreements between functional regions and suitable departments.

- the reduction of contrast between manufacturing industry and marketing.

- systematization and settlement.

The integrated logistic also gives the opportunity to realize the purpose of the state and business. The factor of competitive price, competitive establishment, low loss and the structure of quality affect the increase of profit. The management is based on the method of implementation of some elements to the integrated logistics in order not to lose material and other resources. But many companies are controlled in a traditional way and tend to get additional effect from logistics. And thus the company logistics is considered to provide the customers price and the low loss. To this day main factor in the success was the market directing. But to provide the stable profit if the company we should choose the right resources. Established resource directing conception in economically developed countries in the 80-s made us to think about logistic system. According to this point of view the integrated logistic system has the following features. With direct impact on the profit ability:

- forming and using of a collection that shows the particular profitability of resources that are not used by competitors

- preserve the main constant collections in long-term strategic future

- the opportunity of customers to be ready to attract revenues and pay for additional services [1].

Nowadays logistic is computer integrated logistic. Modern logistic is provided with modern equipment. It is successfully used in the world of business to increase the quality of management in companies. And that’s why it is important to build modern logistic infrastructure. The interest to build a modern logistics infrastructure that meets international logistics centers is growing every day. The types of such logistic infrastructure objects will be build in suitable places with modern communicative equipments to fulfill the wide range of services. The Western Europe is provided with logistic chains of centers which give the opportunity of international economic exchange. An incentive work is carrying out to expand such chains. For example the area of Baltic Sea [3].

It is advantageous to establish universal terminals to develop the logistic system. The universal terminals are groups of warehouses with a distribution center. The main activity of such terminals are packing, delivery, recycling, keeping, pre-sale preparation, and the delivery of the product.

Universal cargo terminal gives the opportunity to solve the following transport matters:

- untimely processing of homogeneous goods.

- the absence of the normal transmission of goods by road

- the possibility of increasing the capacity of transportation through the narrow passage of the railway station

The main element of the integrated logistic system is low level of automation of warehouse system which is one of the actual problems of warehouse property. The employees of companies find and treat a large volume of information in order to favorably conduct business. With the growth of company, clients and partners there is a need for beneficial use of funds of conducting business. These tools include the various information systems, taking on the accounting, planning and control. And one of them is WMS (Warehouse Management System). WMS is considered to solve the duties such as taking on the accounting the movement of goods in the warehouse, keeping, collecting the orders and managing the funds. Using of these systems gives the opportunity to the following:

- the increase of accurate accounting of commodity fund to 99,97%

- the daily loading 98% of the orders

- increase the ability of the warehouse delivery to 25%

- to increase productivity to 10%

- increase in the rate of turnover

- the reduction of additional loss purchase

Currently in advanced logistics firms main directions were grouped together based on a common information-computing platform. They are: purchase, production support, distribution, delivery, the management of funds, purchase and order, processing and packing. Implementation of management practices in the integrated logistic system gives the businesses a lot of opportunities.
