The role of strategy in the enterprise

Introduction. The determination of long-term goals and develop ways of achieving results in a stable and long-term development of the enterprise. A well thought out strategy where the manager of the organization will manage his/her activities, will allow him not only to ensure the company development but also to achieve a sustainable competitive advantage. For successful operation of the enterprise by developing and implementing the strategy can efficiently and effectively to plan their activities.

Materials and methods. A significant contribution to the scientific and practical research on the role of strategy in the enterprise made ​​such scientists as M. Saienko, L. Fedulova, V. Rulyev, E. Evtukhov, K. Filippova, N. Lysynko, L. Seliverstov.

Results. Scientists have different approaches to the strategy definition. M. Saienko argues that enterprise strategy is a systematic plan for its potential behavior under incomplete information about the future development and business environment, including the formation of the mission, long-term goals and the ways and rules of decision-making for the most effective use of strategic resources, strengths and opportunities, eliminating weaknesses and threat protection of the environment for future return. [2]

L. Fedulova defines strategy as a long-term model of organization that is accepted to achieve the strategic objectives and constraints into account internal and external environment of the organization. [3]

V. Rulyev said that the main objective of the strategy is the most profitable of its adaptation to the economic environment and compliance with it. In connection with this strategy the company has to change and adapt to external conditions. [1]

Examining the research works of scientists we can conclude that the strategy is a set of actions by which the company achieves strategic objectives, taking into account the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats that lead to a sustainable advantage over competitors.

Strategy performs an important role in the enterprise, because the strategy is a management plan aimed at achieving specified goals, which brings together many competitive actions and approaches to business that affects the success of the organization. Therefore, using the strategy of the company is able to choose the direction in which develop, because no strategy in the enterprise has a reasonable plan of operations and programs to achieve positive results.

Modern views on the role of the company strategy provide that strategy:

- combines all parts of the organization as a whole;

- a pre-planned response of the changes in the environment;

- a means to achieve end result;

- a long-term plan for the organization;

- covers all major aspects of the organization;

- ensures interoperability of all parts of the plans;

- provides answers to key questions about the nature of the organization. [4]

For effective management, depending on the external and internal environment appropriate to use the following basic strategies: the strategy of growth, the strategy of stabilization and reduction strategy.

Conclusions. Therefore, the strategy takes an important role in the enterprise. Strategy is a program activity of the enterprise, the foundation of which is to determine the long-term goals of the company and the resources required for their implementation aimed of obtaining a positive outcome.
