COMPARATIVE
ANALYSIS OF WEB-BROWSERS
Nowadays there are many browsers, but also
between the Internet users there is a question, "Which browser is
best?". There are several aspects of this issue. For example, "What
does a more reliable while maintaining information about the session?" or "Which browser is faster? ",
etc.. Thus, under this scheme will be built and our work, which was titled
“Comparative analysis WEB - browsers." To do this, we need to talk about
some of the browsers that are currently most used by users.
There are the following types of browser
software:
- Browser command line mode. This is the earliest browser. It
doesn’t allow to view graphics, text, but support moving using IP- addresses.
This type includes the earliest browsers. They do not provide the ability to
view text and graphics. These browsers support the movement only with the
introduction of digital addresses (IP).
- Full-screen browser. Text does not support multimedia, but
it you can view the text and links.
- Browser with support for multimedia. It is the most
common browsers in the world. We use them in everyday life. It allows you to use all of the content and
use of the modern Internet, such as images, sound, video and games.
- Additional to the browser. These are the same
extension settings are functional browsers. They are almost always set, as with
them, you can track the work of some sites , use the API, to work with FTP,
SSH, Telnet and the like.
We can also select offline browsers.
These include programs, which download information from the Internet and stored
in computer memory. Such information can be used without an Internet
connection.
Internet
Explorer. First browser faced by
users of Windows. The most important advantage - it is in the operating system
. Unfortunately, it is the same and the only thing: the browser is the same
high performance and well-protected . Early versions (below 9) generally use
dangerous because of security holes that are not saving any firewall or
anti-virus software. Despite the fact that the possibilities of Internet
Explorer can be extended by plugins , the main problems it does not eliminate
(eg not supported WebGL). Mediocre performance , the complexity , infrequent
updates - these are the main observations. However, with Flash- animations and
HTML5 Microsoft product handles a little better than other browsers, but in
fact that it is an interface to a common standard for Windows, facilitates the
work of novice Web surfers.
Opera - the main
competitor of Internet Explorer. Opera was written from scratch in C + + and
uses code based on NCSA Mosaic. Sufficiently rapidly and actively spreading,
many users are using it. Opera is much
faster than other browsers load pages from the Internet by specific methods for
processing traffic. It immediately loaded test and basic design elements and
then the media data, and layout.
You can also consider them an additional
feature Opera Turbo, which helps to work with slow Internet and a relatively
small amount of traffic admissible. Supplement caches the page and then it
loads the server and not from the local store. However, work is not always
stable. And for pages was written in AJAX, definitely not suitable.
Size distribution Opera several times
less than the same set of other browsers. Size Opera - about 3-4 Mb (not
Java-based applications), while a built-in email client.
Mozilla
Firefox. A
distinctive feature of this browser, which can be attributed safely to its
advantages - the ability to continually expand and debugging functionality for
almost any need by the incredible number of extensions. A normal user can be difficult
to navigate in the ocean of additional modules and plug-ins, respectively the
probability of finding the desired critically reduced. And using this browser
without add-ons are not always convenient. In addition, not all extensions are
written correctly - it leads to malfunction of the browser. All of the above makes the Mozilla browser -
the designer who prefers only a certain category of users. Incidentally this is
probably the only browser that can be obtained from the support of virtually
all sites and technologies available only through extensions.
Google
Chrome
Pros and indeed essential : quick launch browser ( almost no noticeable
difference with clean FireFox), and processing speed of opening web pages
steepest among its competitors (page loaded much faster ), support for web
technologies and standards for height , security holes browser with frequent
updates constantly patch and finalized security system in-general . Simple and
clear your browser options, your task manager , each tab in a separate process
(solves the problem with hanging the entire browser) , as well as browser can
work well on low-end PCs .
And now the cons Chrome: does consume
decent RAM (less than Opera , but more than Firefox ) , with a large number of
tabs significantly (visually understandable) slows down the browser and a
pretty big load on the processor , also portrayed rumors that Chrome sends many
data on your main server and this consumes a serious ( for GPRS / EDGE
connections ) the amount of traffic .
Conclusion.
For
today there isn’t a statement like "best browser".
We can say that for each task we want
to use one or the other browser.
Consider the fact that for high-speed
access to the site without the use of various supplements may Opera. For easy
operation Web-programmers use Google Chrome. Also it can be used to open Stock
video pages and surfing. For a variety of entertainment is offered to use
Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome, and install a lot of extras. Browsers
production mail.ru and Yandex, as they are distributed as viruses, by a
parallel installation of various programs, like AIMP, Yandex Drive, SaveFrom.
As can be seen from the material
discussed above, many manufacturers do have something to offer, and what the user
chooses, it's up to him.
