Virtual laboratory structure for programming language Java
Abstract: This paper describes the structure and functionality of virtual
laboratory for programming language Java.
Keywords: virtual laboratory, programming language.
Introduction: Programming language Java [1-2] in the form of Java- applets for
standard HTML- pages was used to write virtual handbook. Scripting language
JavaScript was used to make up control and test questions. Scripts were
inserted in code Html-markup in order to demonstrate the examples.
The structure of virtual laboratory: The electronic product home page for
programming language Java was
made in the form of three main frames : frame banner (BANNER),
frame menu (CONTENTS) and the main frame (MAIN).
Passing
by means of the frame content from one topic to another a student consequentially
studies theoretical material of the course «Java- applets". As the default
page, info.htm was selected, that allows knowing the name of the author of the
software.
In the laboratory practice examples and
assignments were given to solve typical problems.

Picture
1. Example of language Java use
A
student must install Java- compiler on the computer to do laboratory work. With
the help of file javac.exe, java file with a file extension of class is
compiled.
Examples
are very important for clarity, because a student sees and understands the
possibility of using the language. (Picture 1).

2 . Test Questions
The form
of control in the electronic manual is testing. (Picture 2). Computer testing also makes a
significant contribution to the systematization of the educational process.
After doing the test, a student finds out the assessment in points.
To
increase interest in the study of discipline and preparation for the boundary
control the program provides a trainer programme.
Conclusion: The developed software allows its use in the educational process as a
virtual laboratory complex directory, trainer and testing system.
