Originality of national
vision of the world
in O. Bokeev's works and
zhyrau

The main spiritual and cultural property of mankind is the world of art
and fiction. Each people are rich, and this national wealth is expressed in
their culture. It reflects intelligence, mentality of the nation in bright
images and bears in herself elements of universal values. In our modern era, an
era of progresses and achievements it is perhaps difficult to find in the
company of the person who doesn't have any relation to this or that art form.
All art forms: cinema, theater, painting or music all of them have spiritual
and moral value, and the constant companion of the modern person. And what
place is taken by fiction in our life?
In formation of
moral way, intelligence and spiritual wealth of the human person the fiction
plays an important role. The fiction is a teacher of life, a source of
spiritual knowledge. "What is happiness to be competent!" the
great writer M. Gorky exclaimed, for the first time in the childhood having
read Pushkin "The Bakhchsarai fountain", "Eugene Onegin"
and "Dubrovsky". Literature on an equal basis with all art forms such
as theater, cinema, music and painting gives joy of pleasure fine and feeling
of completeness of life. The feeling of participation to fine, pleasures from
transfer to future generation is created. Reading, fiction we plunge into the
world of love, beauty and character isn't considerably built up, the knowledge
is replenished, the intelligence increases. Literature learns to think, love,
live!
Work of art,
prosaic, lyrical or drama bears the philosophical, ethical or esthetic
character. Manifestation of author's identity, the revealing these or those
vital phenomena, depends on a style choice.
One of bright
representatives of the Kazakh prose of the XX century, author of collections of
prosaic works such how "Pleiades" (1971), "Where you, foal
bausond?" (1973), "Glacial mountains" (1975). "A trace of
lightnings" (1978), "The singing barkhans" (1981),
"Shout" (1984), "Trains pass by" (1985), "Person
deer" (1987) is Oralkhan Bokeev.
Books were issued
in German, Slovak, Bulgarian, English, Hungarian, Arab, Chinese, Japanese
languages, and also in languages of the people of the CIS.
O. Bokeev is
writer realist. He is called the "rigid" writer. It was and remains
to that. In the works it avoids idylls and melodramatic effects.
O. Bokeev's
philosophy is deep, ethics are exacting. Reading works of the author it is
possible to notice how the author treats with special insistence the reader. He
doesn't suffer the superficial attitudes towards himself and more so to the
prose.
The main heroes
of O. Bokeev is aboriginals of the aul,
shepherds, machine operators, tractor operators, foresters, reindeer breeders,
aksakals and, of course, absolutely young children. In each of them a peculiar
spiritual system, a peculiar national character are brightly expressed.
"All prose of O. Bokeev is directed to reflection about the good and evil,
about force and bravery, about true and imaginary cultural wealth. It from the
most sources fills with questions of meaning of life, mission of the person,
develops, as debate, competition of arguments, moral programs. The confession
here easily proceeds in the sermon, and internal monologues quite often of treatises. Heroes of stories and short
stories of the writer entirely and, first of all, philosophers" [1].
One of a peculiar
line of the writer is the deep philosophy. And one of noticeable subjects of
its prose became a loneliness subject. He as if creates models of human destiny
and characters where the loneliness becomes the main detail of human
disharmony. As it was told Bokeev's heroes first of all philosophers above, but
their philosophy doesn't come off the roots from the ancestors. As we know, the
motive of loneliness in Kazakh literature originates since the time of Korkyt,
since the time of Khoja Akhmet Yassawi.
"The legend tells that Korkyt from the youth couldn't reconcile with
rapidity of human life therefore decided to fight against inevitable death.
Tormented by the thoughts and driven by dream of immortality, Korkyt leaves
people, but anywhere and everywhere he sees death: in the wood the decayed
and fallen down tree speaks to it about the death and about the inevitable end
for Korkyt; in the steppe a feather grass, burning out under the sun, speaks
to it about the same; even powerful mountains were told it of the destruction
expecting them, steadily adding that the same end is waited also by Korkyt.
Seeing and hearing all this, Korkyt in the lonely torments hollowed from a tree
Shyrgay the first Kobyz, pulled on it strings and played, pouring the painful
thoughts and forth" [2].
And Khoja Akhmet Yassawi in
63 years ground himself in a vault and other life carried out there, having
explained it so: "I reached age of the prophet, more long and it isn't
necessary to me. You shouldn't live more age of the prophet". And he lived
all the other life in loneliness. In this regard there is a wish to note that
the philosophical thinking is put in each heart of the steppe Kazakh people and
in every image of Bokeev.
In the works of
Bokeev reflects how the person is lonely in this huge world, among billions of
people. "Billions of people trample down a globe face, and from their
shout the world groans. The huge shouting world. In it it is difficult to hear
an echo now unless to listen to itself and suddenly to understand, as thoughts,
and the purposes, and even our actions all this echo of thoughts, the
purposes and actions of other people. Among them and those who is already not
present who sleep underground.
If they from the
"never" could return back, from the it "is impossible",
from the "forgive", maybe, would teach live not to tell each other
cruel words, not to torment each other, and to live on this wide earth as live
on free pastures
But the world
shouts, and in this shout it is impossible to hear shout of one person. And
when it remains one among the huge silent world, its shout is answered by an
echo" [4, 149].
The loneliness in
the middle of millions of people leads the writer to thought about as far as
the person is sincerely lonely. The shouting world sometimes not in forces to
hear a voice of one person. The world absorbs it. And here it is possible to
notice a conformable author's caroling about life, about loneliness from songs
of steppe philosophers.
In works the
author touches on a mutual understanding issue. Indifference in relation to
environment induces sometimes the "cruel egoism" which fell asleep in
the depth of human consciousness and not considerably starts manipulating over
our soul. This perspective mentioned in Bokeev's prose is conformable
about zhyrau where important public
problems were sung. And one of those is Shalkiiz-zhyrau. "Its works
differed in deep emotional influence, sharpness and melody, laconicism and
beauty. The philosophy of life of the simple medieval nomad, his concept about
morals and ethics found reflection in his creativity. He considered that in the
world there is nothing eternal and constant. According to the statement to
zhyrau human qualities are covered not in an origin, not in position which the
person holds in society, and in him, in its personal qualities. Only the fair
person can be useful to the fatherland, can be called as the Azamat - citizen.
"Good people the mountain where the owl doesn't fly up, Will die but
good them there are words" - Shalkiiz-zhyrau" wrote [3].
The same ethics
sound and in Bokeev's prose. In the works the writer as if addresses to the
reader, reminding that the person has to value vital values, simple human
qualities. Reminding that dying, there will be no road back, from the
"never", from "is impossible", and from
"forgive". Life doesn't love weak, doesn't suffer the mean. But
nevertheless the nature creates also such, sincerely weak among great, and mean
among the humane. Will be born the person and to live keeping a worthy name of
the person demands much, but not everyone manages. "
unless we with you
are white as milk, are pure as water? Unless are innocent? Who knows, for what
sins this painful death is sent you? But whatever were your sins big or
small, - try to die adequately, without groan, without shout. Shout doesn't
help anything, doesn't even facilitate death" [4, 216]. Making mistakes,
everyone has to be responsible for the sins. Each act demands responsibility in
relation to itself. The person bears heavy responsibility for himself and for
the acts. And he has to remember it always. In the prose O. Bokeev demands it,
a sober, optimistic view on life, not to recede before vital illnesses, to be
able to fight and overcome vital difficulties. But fir-trees we could strangle
some negative human qualities in a deep dungeon of our humane consciousness,
wouldn't be in our life of these infinite "if I could
if I knew
".
"Perhaps, if I managed to catch, solve then deaf mutter, wouldn't make a
set of mistakes..." [4, 150]. If we could understand correctly proper
words if we could hear "shout" of close people, would be the changed
mind acts for which would regret for the rest of the natural. If we could
the
world was another, life would be another.
As Shalkiiz said
about zhyrau that in the world there is nothing eternal and constant, also and
Bokeev in the works touches upon a death subject more than once. And as it is
noticeable in its works he isn't afraid of it, and calls the reader aren't
afraid. "
the death isn't terrible when the dream is executed. And dream
in reserving the noble cause meeting needs the people" the Writer always I
was against accommodation of senseless life. The person has to live, create in
the benefit to himself and all people. The inept dreamer, won't be able to live
fruitful life, and especially to embody these dreams in reality.
The subject of a
family, the family center occupy much important role in works of the artist.
The author in the works as if recreates a peculiar world of a family on the
basis of three intimate feelings Belief, Hope and Patience. "The
shepherd bent to Zhenya and kissed her on the cracked mouth. "I trust you,
and this main thing, - he mentally addressed to it. With three essences it is
cast in the lot the person with Belief, Hope and Patience. My Belief is you,
my Hope the eldest son. And Patience always with me. And if I lose at least
one it, the end will come to me". From this fragment it is possible to
notice as far as the author appreciated those feelings on the basis of which
the family keeps. The artist builds the formula of creation of the family
center family happiness about which sang in Aktamberdi-zhyrau, Bukhar-zhyrau's
works and Shal-akyn.
From this follows
that Bokeev's heroes deep philosophers. But their philosophy is peculiar. Let
them be lonely, but their souls merge together with philosophers of the steppe
Kazakh people.
