SMALL BUSINESS INFORMATION SYSTEMS

One of the main reasons hindering the development of small business is the lack of effective control methods based on the use of modern information technology. Due to the specific circumstances of these fast-paced, competitive environment in which it operates, the company, as well as the peculiarities of doing business.

Currently, the use of information technology in small business management objective necessity. They have become one of the commonly used tools to monitor economic activity, increase profitability and successful opposition in the competition. Their main purpose of building the information space of a small business to display the status of business processes in management, accounting and administrative control systems organization.

At the present stage of market attention is paid to small businesses. Thus, according to Western economists , the future of world production for small firms . For example, 96% of UK firms - small . It is obvious that small business starts every production , every business, based on the use of force of a free man . Limitation of the number of enterprises seems some economists serious barrier that will not allow the company to grow and develop . But it is not. Production can be increased through the introduction of technology, advanced technology, one of the pillars of which is now considered the introduction of information technologies on the basis of an integrated information management system business.

Difficulty and complexity of the application of information systems for small businesses are in a large variety of companies in different forms of organization of production in a wide range of products. Although individual enterprises by types of products and services is very limited. All this causes the creation of an information system for small business , in terms of functionality and commensurate with the information system of large corporations, therefore, on the one hand , it is possible to design an information system for individual companies , given their specificity. But the development of individual information system for each company is unprofitable. Especially for small businesses , when almost every one of them bears the characteristics of the processes that enable this to be competitive .

On the other hand, can be considered more radical construction of the universal integrated system, allowing to reduce the scale of the system for a particular customer by eliminating translation and the passive state is not involved modules.

By decision of the need to implement information technology comes a growing number of business leaders a variety of business fields. Although implementation of the system is very costly, preserve the existing order, can do even more. Competition does not give the opportunity to stop and relax. At the same time, just as such information systems and technical means used to implement them, are not sufficient to achieve competitive advantage.

Organizations vary in effect, which is expected from the introduction of computer information systems. In some cases, the competent implementation of special information systems may favorably affect the achievement of competitive advantage, for example, by improving consistency in working with remote agents or by increasing the speed of the orders. In other situations, computer technology can facilitate routine operations and help systematize information. In smaller organizations, is only effective automation of accounting.

There was widespread program 1C, so they deserve special attention. They combine an affordable price and good features. Implementation of programs of this family usually begins with the program "1C: Accounting". For warehouse automation , there are trade related programs . But they are not finished products, which could operate successfully without customization, which is very difficult to perform on their own. To configure and maintain the system " 1C: Trade " is expected to attract regional representatives of the developer.

In the manager's job is now more and more can be found objects that make up the concept of the new information technology. It is understood as the totality of the system introduced in organizational management fundamentally new means and methods of data processing , is a holistic process systems and providing purposeful creation , transmission, storage and display of information product ( ideas, knowledge ) at the lowest cost and in accordance with the laws of the social environment where this technology develops. The transition to the new information technologies is justified if it is a consequence of the fundamental rethinking and radical rescheduling of the firm to dramatically improve critical of the cost indicators - quality, service and speed production processes.

Information systems provide certain advantages over competitors automating operations within the system and improving the quality of delivery of the final product or organization. Information systems also improve product quality, expanding its documentary base and service. Using a global computer network, managers are able to receive and exchange of operational information, and conduct various kinds of research.

Thus, the use of technologies that are included in the concept of an information system - the key to success on the market.
