INTERPRETATION IN
SYSTEM OF HISTORICAL KNOWLEDGE
Fixing
of the historical subject within, for example, present doesn't mean a situation
when this historical subject can actually carry out interpretation concerning
these or those historic facts because it can absolutely be in other
epistemological field quite. The problem is reduced to that there are some
rather serious aspects of combination of interpretation of historic facts with
those researchers who will be authors of these interpretations.
It is
an interesting and complex problem. However, in our opinion, complexity of this
problem is even not that corresponds some past from a fact position to that
interpreter which, perhaps, will give interpretation concerning a historic
fact, and that the interpreter in the present isn't capable to estimate
philosophical, methodological, historical, axiological, philological and other
characteristics of that historic fact which is presented in this or that look
for the analysis.
The
similar situation is in many respects connected with that in the modern
literature connected as with the germenevtical appeal to the analysis of
philosophical problems and with philosophical problems a number of other
approaches which demand rather accurate designation of that with what actually
is combined the researcher deals. The problem will be reduced to as far as this
or that text allows the researcher to speak about philosophical problems and as
far as this text can really open them. However, in this case, we will pay
attention that having formulated and having analysed this or that historical
text, we receive a problem which is connected with a factor of time and this
factor of time plays rather serious role in the considered problem. The matter
is that when within the appeal to understanding or interpretation of this or
that historical text the researcher addresses to his contents, the similar
contents causes interest from the point of view of its compliance more in the
historiographer. That is, historiographic researches will come to the
forefront, however similar researches always need a certain generalization,
certain semantic processing and the historiographic moments in similar cases
will give way to other problems connected with philosophical judgment of the
similar moments.
Therefore
when the historic fact is recorded by the social subject and it is built in
some overall picture of its position in relation to interpretation of a similar
historic fact, it is necessary to pay attention as far as this historic fact
will fit into that social paradigm which is connected with a position of the
social subject.
In this
case, in view of those practices which are available in modern philosophical
literature it is necessary to tell that similar historic facts have to
correlate with historical events, and the last, in turn, to reflect various
aspects of a temporal reference allowing historical events to form a certain
sequence on a scale of historical process. The similar appeal to research of
interpretation of a historic fact leads to that this historic fact has to
correlate with a historical event.
Of
course, it is very interesting and complex problem. However the author isn't inclined
to consider that the problem is reduced to that historic facts automatically
pass into historical events as it is absolutely different concepts. Thus, it
isn't necessary and to diminish that communication which between them is
available. On the other hand, experience of philosophical researches in
relation to historic facts, the historical phenomena, historical events allows
to say that their interpretations, their understanding, their representation in
a certain social system, of course, says that research of degree of historic
facts is connected with their correlation or formation within historical
events; and already historical events form some sequences which, in turn, can
are correlated to a certain theory of processes, let us assume, of historical
idea of these or those segments of history with representation of historical
time, idea of historical processes of various type and with representation that
historic facts, more nevertheless receive the methodological and other value
within the social and philosophical analysis, but not within historiographic
research though the last really too is very important.
If the speech comes that historical events in a varying degree are
exposed to interpretation, naturally, the researcher in similar cases taking
into account the aforesaid pays attention to what general concepts anyway
correlate with concept of a historic fact. In this case we deal already with
historical events. Within the analysis of historical events we will designate a
number of the directions which anyway pass through two main parallels.
One is considered within
historical knowledge and is more analyzed by scientists-historians, another
gets under a stare of philosophers and especially what go in for social
philosophy.
Of course, the historical event
can be interpreted differently, especially differently to understand, however
when the speech comes how to represent this historical event, naturally there
is a question that first: as to present it in strict system of concepts;
secondly: as to perceive it from a position of a temporal reference.
Concerning the first problem it
is necessary to tell that really the problem of conceptualization of the most
historical event is understood within a historiography from a position of the
same historic facts, however, in our opinion, it absolutely other level of
research therefore actually the speech has to come that similar
conceptualization has to happen not at the level of a historiography, and at
the level of social and philosophical judgment and when the historical event is
reproduced on the basis of certain historical and social and philosophical
sources.
However, in this case, in
literature there is rather steady direction which claims that similar
historical events actually a priori rely in space and time. The similar
situation can be understood differently, however, in our opinion, similar
apriority has a number of problems which can be noticed by the
researcher-philosopher.
First, the historical event, so far as it grows from historic facts, the
phenomena and processes represents a certain level of abstraction which isn't
available according to historical knowledge any more. Secondly, in a similar
situation it is that if the historical event itself is shipped in this or that
process, in this or that development of history, it is interwoven into the
whole text, or even into a context of development of sociohistorical process
and, naturally, it is hardly possible to reduce it by some historiographic
moments. Thirdly, the historical event as modern literature shows, is that
concept which is widely used in social and philosophical literature which has
independent value and which is rather actively used in researches on social
philosophy.
We will note that the social subject in similar cases claims that
subjects of this sort are represented only when they give in to some cogitative
processing on the one hand, and on the other hand when in general they are
thought as those. Thus historical representations which can act through a sign
ratio to object of research pass into a framework of the linguistic philosophy
connected with questions of social philosophy and come to problems of semantics
and semiotics. Therefore when in similar cases the speech comes about that,
interpretation of historical knowledge is how valid, it must be kept in mind
that the similar knowledge can't be valid in some empirical sense though it is
necessary to say that it is that in some subjective sense.
