Special features of organization for professional training of foreign citizens at the higher medical (pharmaceutical) educational institutions of Ukraine

 

Multiple vector activity of the higher medical (pharmaceutical) educational institutions of Ukraine is based on results of a steady functioning and strategical building up, laid through a consecutive work of the teaching staff (professors & teachers), of achievements and traditions of history of the most powerful in a country of medical (pharmaceutical) universities, of programming tasks in accordance with the priority directions of development of the national system of education and public health, of integration to a common European educational space and recommended valid strategical documents of the State and branch levels.

Professional training of specialists for pharmaceutical branch of Ukraine in a complicated social & economical situation is being steady looking for ways of improvement and development of the pharmaceutical education system, it studies a practical experience of a functioning of the European model for public health by the example of other countries.

Main forms of international cooperation of the higher medical (pharmaceutical) educational institutions and institutions of post-diploma education of Ukraine: realization of joint international programs and projects; academic exchange programs; conducting of international congresses and scientific symposiums; involvement to study of foreign citizens; undersigning of agreements about a mutual acknowledgement of documents about education, scientific degrees and titles with countries, which citizens are studying here in Ukraine; building up an educational exhibition system for advertisement & information reasons, out of city consulting points of the higher medical (pharmaceutical) educational institutions and post-diploma education institutions at the diplomatic establishments of Ukraine abroad; building up a mutually beneficial cooperation with the foreign public and private institutions through knowledge of system for pharmaceutical education in Ukraine.

At present stage as a most complicated task of modernization of specialists’ professional training of pharmaceutical branch in Ukraine is to find a compromise between a national achievement in a branch of the higher pharmaceutical education and processes of globalization and convergence of education. As to modernization and introduction of innovations in a process of the professional training of specialists for the pharmaceutical branch, to our mind, as an efficient precondition for transition from words about an innovative development of the higher pharmaceutical education to its concrete development will be here an extension of different methods, means and forms of study. In particular, a number of foreign citizens in Ukraine, which are studying at the higher medical (pharmaceutical) educational institutions and institutions of the post-diploma education of Ukraine, are steady being increased. How in his report indicated «Special Features of Organization for Study of Foreign Citizens within a Current Academic Year» dated 12.03.2015 by the General Director of DP - Daughter Enterprise «International Program Centre» of MOZ (Ministry of Public Health) of Ukraine YU.I. Fesun, 21389 foreign citizens from 124 countries of the world study at the higher medical (pharmaceutical) educational institutions of Ukraine and at the post-diploma institutions of education during the academic year of 2015 – 2016.

Professional training of the foreign citizens in Ukraine for pharmaceutical branch under specialization «Pharmacia» as for  academic year of 2014 – 2015 is being performed at the following higher medical (pharmaceutical) educational institutions of Ukraine: National Pharmaceutical University, Zaporizhzhya State Medical University, Dnipropetrovsk State Medical Academy, O.O. Bohomolets National Medical University, Odessa Medical National University, Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University, I.YA. Horbachevsky Ternopil State Medical University, Danylo Halytskyi Lviv National Medical University, M.I. Pyrohov Vinnytsya National Medical University, M. Horkyi Donetsk National Medical University, Luhansk State Medical University.

The professional training of specialists for sphere of public health within academic year of 2015 – 2016 is being conducted for 3873 foreign citizens, who have been enrolled for the first year of study. The professional before-diploma training of specialists for sphere of public health within academic year of 2015 – 2016 is being executed for 518 foreign citizens in the frame of preliminary courses. After study completion at the higher medical (pharmaceutical) educational institutions of Ukraine each graduate, apart from the Diploma of Specialist and Supplement to Diploma of a national example, would receive the Supplement to the Diploma of international example «Diploma Supplement», which has been worked out by the European Commission, Counsel of Europe, UNESCO/CEPES while providing an objective information for improvement of international transparence as well a fair and professional acknowledgement of qualifications for academic and professional acknowledgement in Europe with respect to obtained higher education. The professional training of students – foreigners for English-speaking form of study of the pharmaceutical branch under specialty «Pharmacia» increases efficiency of a pedagogical activity, capability to an innovative pedagogical activity and pedagogical competence of the teaching staff of the higher medical (pharmaceutical) educational institution, as well it promotes to a rising of  pharmacia level in those countries, who should need it, to exchange with an important professional experience with the foreign colleagues and to deepening of the international cooperation in the pharmaceutical branch.

In our opinion, the professional training of foreign citizens which are studying at the higher medical (pharmaceutical) educational institutions and the post-diploma education institutions of Ukraine and introduction of the English-speaking teaching on the professional training of specialists for the pharmaceutical branch will assist to development of the national system for pharmaceutical education and public health as well of integration to the common European educational space.
