Modern
educational technologies in teaching practice
At
present the new education system is focused on integration into the world
educational space. The process of formation of the education system is
accompanied by changes in teaching theory and practice of learning process.
The
content of education is enriched with new procedural skills, development of
competence, handling of information, creative solution for science problems and
market practices focusing on individualized education programs. Traditional
methods of information which are oral and written speech gives way to computer
training means.
The
major component of teaching process is person-centered interaction of a teacher
with students. Personal approach involves one of the most important tasks to
form a positive Self-concept among the students. To do this you should first
see a unique personality in each student, to respect it, understand, accept,
believe in it. Create a situation of success, approval, support, kindness to
such personality. In order students’ activity, training brings them joy. Provide
opportunities and help students to fulfill themselves in positive activities.
Today
the principle of variability is proclaimed in education. Variability allows
teachers to select and design educational process under any model, including
author's one.
In
these circumstances a teacher should be guided in a wide range of modern
innovative technologies.
Applying
new technologies in classroom or elements thereof we set the following
objectives to be fulfilled: improvement of cognitive activity of students in
material learning; maximum use of their creative and intellectual potential,
development of correct speech, logical thinking.
These
tasks are solved by replacing outdated and inefficient means with new ones and
more effective means: through improvement of survey forms; differentiated
learning; problem-based learning; the use of new information technologies;
modular learning.
For
several years the working system has developed: diagnosis of students'
knowledge; planning of educational process for the academic semester; unity of
educative process.
During
work for development of cognitive interest in the subject, improving the
quality of education, a teacher uses the elements of the following educational
technology:
Workshop
technology is based on the ideas of free education. At the workshop each
student has an opportunity to move to the truth using his own way. The process
of cognition is more important, more valuable than the knowledge itself. The
student has the right to be wrong. Being wrong is a natural step in the process
of cognition. Wrong choice is followed by precise knowledge. The acquisition of
knowledge is achieved through collaboration, co-creationand
collective search.
Sharing
the knowledge is the idea of teachingstudents by the students themselves
originates from ancient times. The essence of this system lies in the fact that
all students are included in the dialogue using a form of dynamically changing
couples where a student acts in turn as a textbook and as a teacher. One of the
advantages of this method is to release the teacher from significant portion of
front work with the audience and thus increase the time for individual
assistance to students.
Problem
teaching or experiment is based on creation of problem situations, cognitive
activity of students. The essence is in searching and solving of complex issues
that require analysis, the ability to see a phenomenon or a law beyond
separated facts.
Group
technologies - at this level work organization in the classroom requires division
of the group into small subgroups to work together on specific tasks. The
students are suggested to discuss a problem, specify the ways to solve it, and
their practical implementing. Present the result found jointly. This form of
work opens great opportunities for emergence of collective cognitive
activities.
New
technologies - the use of new information technology of teaching. When
computers began to be widely used in education, the term "new information
technology of teaching" appeared.
Main
objective: to prepare a personality of "information society" .
Formation of research skills. The skills to make better decisions. The skills to
work with information. Development of communication skills. The use of
electronic exercise books to prepare for the exams. The use of multimedia
programs for lessons.Creation of multimedia presentations for lessons.
Today
you cannot be a competent specialist without learning and using the wide tools
of educational technology. But even the most educated specialist will not achieve
results without love to his profession. Only creative person who loves his
profession using any given opportunity will succeed.
