Education is the main determinant of
a country's future development
‘It is
necessary to study to learn that other people know in order to become equal
among them so that further to become the protection and support for the people’
In the 21 century
the following concepts have been to general public: genetic engineering,
globalization of society, increase of mobility of human resources, huge changes
in the sphere of information along with communicative technologies, accompanied
by availability and the variety of information of growing influences of mass
media, technologies as well as the
innovations in science and education.
Besides this, the requirements for professional skills in the conditions of
dynamically emerging work market are changing either, moreover there is a shift
of focus from the raw industry to service economy and the demand in highly
qualified specialists at all levels.
This is the reason why education content is updating in terms of modern methods, technologies of teaching,
objective system of assessment, an innovative and transparent control system of
school. In response to these challenges, school will endeavour to lay the foundation in a
person who is able to be successful in a constantly changing world.
The president of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, in
his speech devoted to "Strategy of entry of Kazakhstan into 30 competitive
countries of the world" determined
main priorities for further
modernization of the social sphere, development of modern education system and
training of highly qualified personnel.
Today, the education of our country is on the path of updating the
content, where the student is in the centre, full school life, dreams and hopes
for the future, understanding and care, change and innovation are fundamental
values. These days the efforts have been made to transfer in the secondary
education system of the country the experience of the Nazarbayev Intellectual
schools and the best international practices.
Similar approaches are in other countries as
well. In Great Britain the 5E system (Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate,
Evaluate) which is representing models of profound teaching,including the
description of criteria of determination of quality is developed. The system assumes
joint research activity and professional development of teachers. So, in
Shanghai (China) all teachers have to visit as observers at least eight lessons
of the colleagues each term. In Japan, for instance, teachers work in teams, be
making analysis and developing lessons samples. In Boston (USA), the schedule
of teachers is made so that they still have time for joint planning. In
Singapore for evaluation of the work of teachers, the system of compensations
was created. At its first stage the expected competences are defined, then
teachers are evaluated according to "The guide to distribution to
levels". In Finland, in its turn,
the first round of process of selection which consists of a number of
examinations and tests for skills of the account, literacy and the solution of
problems was entered at the national level is compulsory. In South Korea,the
progress of educational system and growth of quality of education at the global
level happens due to the best training of managers - the selection of the managerial
personnel for schools.
In Kazakhstan, new trends in
determining the choice of a profession, the role and nature of development of
the education system are global, philosophical in nature and match not only at
the level of individual countries but the entire world community.
What influences the choice of the teaching
profession? Salary is important, but is not the most important. For young
people important social status, career prospects and working conditions are
essential. A big role is played by the presence of feedback from management and
colleagues.
Successful leaders know that the most
important assets of any group are
experience, skills and strengths of its employees. Leadership management
and coaching both inspire a team to strive to achieve common goals for a
school. A true leader does not shy away from what is happening in the company,
this is the one who collaborates with all members of the team and is aware of
everything happening within the company.
Any team member knows that the dynamics of its
development has a huge impact on the workflow and results. Positive and creative atmosphere helps to maintain the
motivation and productivity of the team at a high level, while the negative,
can lead to the opposite effect or consequences. Creative ideas and innovative
approach we offer teachers, is a chance to develop their own concepts of
development.
Professionalism of a teacher of a new generation
in its structure represents some kind of pyramid where there is a basis of
professional knowledge. They built professional experience, competence, qualifications as well
as the properties and qualities of the personality, which are formed in the
process of professional work of a teacher.
"Only the company, which
employs special people, can achieve some special results" this a famous
saying proving that all high goals of any organization are implemented by the
hands and hearts of people who work for it. Therefore, the success of the
company depends on the "quality" of these hands and hearts. Success
comes to those who know how to listen and find creative solutions. With an open
heart, head and hands, hard skills and soft skills are developed.
Each of us has individual abilities
and talents, through which we can successfully achieve goals. Currently there
is a replacement of human needs in education from a "knowledgeable
person" (i.e. armed with the knowledge, skills and abilities) to "a
man prepared for life", for instance, people who were able to improve
their ability to think actively and creatively, to act, to develop,
intellectually, morally and physically.
The integration into the
educational program of the skills required for the 21st century, such as
critical thinking, problem solving, technological literacy, with values as a
sense of identity to society and the country as well, and, of course,
willingness to lifelong learning are primarily important.
The school promotes the formation
of innovative behavior of a human, his or her creative activities, leadership
and communication qualities, moreover it allows adapt effectively to rapidly
changing environmental conditions, economy, be able to lead and to be in demand
in life. First of all, from the point of the new requirements of labour market,
and the importance for the formation of
a wide range of skills being a tool of lifelong learning.
The main resource of today is
definitely educated people, their professionalism, loyalty and devotion to
leader and team. Only leader who is
innovative, listening, open and honest can establish such relationships.
