The
influence of fixed prostheses based on endosseous dental implants on enzymatic
activity of saliva
Summary
The indexes of antitripsine activity of mixed saliva
in orthopedic patients with using different types of dentures set on implants
allowed to make a conclusion , that the indexes of
normalization of patients, who used ceramic dentures for 3-4 months compare to
patients , that used metaloceramic dentures – for 5-6 months. The use
preparation “Erbisol” considerably improves the adaptation of organism.

Last years the
implantology has become very popular. The fixed prostheses based on implants
allow to reestablish aesthetics, the chewing
function, give to the patient the sense of comfort and confidence.
In oral cavity metalic
implants react and change enzymatic activity of the saliva. The important problem
is factor of compatibility of metalic alloys
of different by structure and chemical nature.
The purpose of our
investigation is study the dynamics
of anti tryptic activity of saliva as a criteron of estimation the processes of adaptation during the use different types of fixed prostheses based on titanium implants.
Material and methods
The
material of our investigation was mixed saliva , taken from 62
patients. Selecting the
patients we considered the general condition, suffered and related diseases.
For observations were formed 2 groups , in each group – 2 subgroups.
In first group were
patients, who after dental implantation carring out installated metaloceramic
prostheses based on cobalt-chromium alloy Duceralloy. First goup included 38
patients, second group – 24 patients. Second group included patients, whom
during the prosthetics
manufactured non metal ceramic
prostheses based on implants.Each group divided on 2 subgroups: subgroup A – with no additional therapeutic actions,
subgroup B - the patients after
fixation of dentureshad injection of Erbisol 1 ml, course 10 days.
The preparation “Erbisol” is
immunomodulator, reparant, and adaptogen.
The mixed saliva was
collected in 1,2,3,4,5,6 months after fixation the prostheses based on
implants. Antitrypsin activity of saliva determined by electrophotometric
Chevar method.
Results
and discussion
During the analysis of antitrypsin activity of saliva in
orthopedic patients after prosthetics revealed , that by 1 month of observation
in all groups the indexes were different from control not significantly and had
statistically non-significant character
(p>0,05).
By second month of
investigation noticed the increase of antitrypsin activity indicators in all group
of investigation . In first group , where used metal ceramic prostheses, in
subgroup A (with no use Erbisol) – the indexes were 169,34±11,24 Mkm/l, that
17,2 % higher than control indexes; in subgroup B(with Erbisol use) – 167,88
±17,24 Mkm/l, that 15,5 % higher the norm.
By 3 month of observation
noticed progressive increase of indixes
of antitrypsin activity of mixed saliva in 1 and 2 group,especially expressed
in in 1A subgroup – 135,75±10,33 Mkm/l, that 27,8 % higher than control with
p<0,01).
By 4 month after prosthetics
the indicators of antitrypsin activity of saliva in 1 group stayed on high
level (in subgroup A – 23,6 % higher, in sungrop B – 20,4 % higher than the
norm); at the same time in 2 group – has statistically not significant character.
In next terms of
investigation (5-6 months)the indicators of antitrypsin activity of mixed
saliva in all groups were approaching to the control.
In this way, the biochemical
observation of antitrypsin activity of mixed saliva in orthopedic patients with
using different types of fixed
prostheses based on implants has showed that the increase of enzymatic
activity after prosthetics observed not
dependently from type of fixed dentures.
Conclusions:
1.
The carrying
out the orthopedic treatment by fixed prostheses based on titanium implants
cause the increase of indexes of antitrypsin activity of mixed saliva and not
depend from type of fixed prostheses.
2.
The terms of
adaptation after carried out proshetics are different in observed groups:minimal
– with using non metal ceramic prostheses(3-4 months), and with using metal
ceramic prostheses – 5-6 months.

The use
preparation “Erbisol” significantly decrease the terms of adaptation of
orghanism after proshetics in all group of observation.
