Adaptation is one of the fundamental properties of living matter, the
result and mean of resolving internal and external contradictions of life.
Adaptation is the evolutionary process whereby a population becomes better
suited to its habitat. This process takes place over many generations, and is
one of the basic phenomena of biology. Adaptation ensures the viability of the
organism to changing environmental conditions. Adaptation to normal or abnormal
new conditions do not arise whether as a result of adaptation disorders that
may lead to further exclusion and can
be resolved only through a deep studing mechanisms of adaptation. The objective
of our researching was to study the
hormones of pituitary-adrenal axes of children long and often suffering with
the symptoms of adjustment disorder as well as development in the health with
physiotherapeutic methods of treatment on sanatorium stage of rehabilitation to
correct exclusion processes. We used survey data of 86 children of both sexes
aged 9 to 13 years who were at a health resort on a stage of rehabilitation in
Eupatory Resort "Ubilejny" and with a history of diagnosed “long and
frequently have being ill”, mostly with chronic diseases of naso-pharyngeal
area. All the children were divided into two groups. The first group included
children received conventional therapy (35), while the second group - 51
children, received a package of physiotherapy developed by us, which included
the using aromatherapy dosed drug "Polyol", a mixture of oil rose,
lavender, sage and coriander and they also using the applicator Lyapko.
Investigation of hormonal status survey was conducted by enzyme-linked
immunoassay, which determined the quantitative concentration of cortisol in the
blood serum. Quantitatively concentrations of adrenocorticotropic hormone
(ACTH) in blood plasma was determined by two-step enzyme immunoassay. The
resulting data were processed using correlation statistics and calculation by
Student criterion. Considered reliable indicators were at p <0,05. Upon
admission of children, long and frequently have being ill with maladjustment
symptoms, revealed a significant shift in the state of hormones of
pituitary-adrenal axes. Since the content of cortisol was 239,34 ± 19,18
nmol/L, it was at 16,1% (p <0,05) lower than the benchmarks, and the level
of ACTH was 52,88 ± 10,84 pg/ml, which was 28> 5% (p1 <0.01) above
control. Using the complex of
physiotherapeutic methods has led to a slight decrease in hormonal imbalance,
which in the study group continued up to 7 days stay in the sanatorium, and
was; cortisol - 242,69 ± 21,42 nmol/L (p1 <0.05, P2> 0,05 , p3 <0.05)
ACTH - 47,65 ± 10,95 pg / ml (P1 <0.01, p2> 0.05, p3 <0,05). On the
10th day the children of the first group indicators studied hormones
significantly decreased, getting compared to control statistically
insignificant nature (P1> 0,05). On the 14th day there were no differences
between cortisol and ACTH levels from
control, gaining relative to the index of the level of hormones at the time of
admission to a sanatorium (p2) meaningful (p2 <0,05). Analyzing the hormone
level of children in second group of observations receiving the traditional
methods of correcting unadaptation, in this group of hormonal disbalance
observed on 10th day. The maintenance of cortisol was below the benchmark at
14.7% (p1 (0,05), and ACTH - higher at 15,1% (p <0,05). On the next
14th-16th days of hormone approaching benchmarking acquiring statistically
significant were compared to the rates
at the time of admission (p2 <0.05) only in 16th day. Thus, the researching hormones of pituitary-adrenal axes had
allowed us to conclude that the childrens suffering from naso-pharyngeal
pathology have being ill 4th -5th times a year, developing hormonal imbalance,
which we regarded as a violation of adaptation. Using traditional methods of
correction reduces the effects of maladjustment only on 14th-16th days of spa
treatments, while the using the complex
of physiotherapy techniques normalizes the processes of adaptation on
10th-14th days, as convincing hormone background shows.
