The influence of syndrome
of intolerance to acrylates in orthopedic patients on microbiological spectrum
of oral cavity.
One of
the most important problems in modern prosthodontics is the problem of
intolerance of materials used in proshtetics: in particular plastics. We studied the microbiological total
microbial count and persistent
dysbiotic processes, increase anaerobic and aerobic
reduction.
The problem of intolerance to the
materials used in medicine remains today one of the most relevant.
During the intolerance to acrylic
plastic because of allergic stomatitis the patients complaint of impossibility
of use or complicated use of removable prostheses because of constant feeling
of burning in the mucosa of protheses area. Feeling of buring is more
expressive on maxilla than in mandible. Hyposalivation make hard to use the
protheses and make the clinical picture worse. The remove of protheses
eliminated the subjective feeling.
One of the
most important problem is the problem of intolerance to the materials used in
medicine.
Simultaneously with the increase of the level of people using
dental prosthesis. Increased the level of patients who can not use them for
various reasons.
In case of intolerance because of
allergic stomatitis on acrylic resin,
patients complain of inability or difficulty in use removable dentures due to
constant burning sensation is more pronounced in the maxilla than the bottom,
which is , apparently , with the buffering properties of the mucous membranes
of the upper jaw prosthetic field.
Materials and methods
Comprehensive evalution and
treatment of patients in need of orthopedic treatment with the use of removable
plate dentures, conducted at the Department
of Proshtetic Dentistry Medical Center CSMU. Were examined 45
patients(including women 23; men – 22), which were established partial dentures
of material “Ftorax”.These patients were treatment group(aged 45-75 years).
The composition of the control group
consisted of 40 patients between the ages of 25-65 years.
Comprehensive evalution of
patients conducted by collection
the medical history, examination of the
oral cavity and periodontal examination of alveolar bone in the area of
missing teeth. This carried out by the clinical and labaratory
methods of examination, formulation of diagnosis.
Mucosal scrapings of the oral cavity carried out by standard
tampon
of company “Sarsteds”(Germany), that allowed to increase the time of
transportation in bacterial labaratory.
Microbiological observations include the determination of
total bacterial count by colony counting .
In the analysis of the total number of microbial (TMC), and the
ratio of aerobic and anaerobic flora in
the study of scrapings of the oral mucosa revealed that the patients after
orthopedic prostheses removable plate dentures from acrylic plastic syndrome
who developed intolerance to acrylates TMC has increased by 25 % (P<0,01)
and was 1,5±0,08 conv. u under the
control of 1,2±0,07 conv. u with statistically significant(P<0,05) decreased
by 22,2 % and the number of aerobic flora with a high degree of reliability
growth of anaerobic flora(P<0,001)
Conclusions
1.After
installation of removable plastic processes, made from acrylatic plastmas
developed the syndrome of intolerance, which accompanied by inflammatory
processes in peridontal tissues.
2. The
syndrome of intolerance to acrylates accompanied by increase the level of total
bacterial count comparably to control from 1,2 u. to 1,5 u.
3. The
syndrome of intolerance accompanied by expressive disbiotic processes,
developed prevalence of anaerobes.
