State of cytochemical
spectrum of peripheral blood neutrophiles of orthopedic patients with the
syndrome of intolerance to acrylic plastics.
One of the most important problems in modern prosthodontics is the
problem of intolerance of materials used in proshtetics: in particular
plastics.
Studied the level of the enzyme
succinate dehydrogenase and lactate dehydrogenase after prosthetics of the
patients. Activity SDG decreased by 15,2 % and LDH- incresed by 13,5 %.
One
of the most important problem is the problem of intolerance to the materials
used in medicine.
Simultaneously with the increase of the level of people using
dental prosthesis. Increased the level of patients who can not use them for
various reasons.
Clinically, patients have marked changes in the tissues of
the mouth , due to both allergic and non-specific inflammation, burning and
other non-pleasent feelings. In the mechanism of allergic stomatitis on plastic
materials denturesmain role belongs to action of sensitized lymphocytes. The
general mechanism is as follows: in response to the allergen from entering the
body are formed so-called sensitized lymphocytes. This lymphocytes is
T-lymphocates;the cell membrane has the structure called antibodies, which
connected with antigen. During the second attack of antigen the antibody connect with sensitized
lymphocytes. That leads to morphological , biochemical and functional changes
in lymphosytes. These changes apperance as blast transformation, proliferation
secretion of different mediators, so-called lymphokines. Sensitized lymphocytes
affect the direct cytotoxic and decrease the activity of the cells. This all revealed
as inflammatory reactions of productive
type. The main role in development of allergic reaction has the reactivity of
the body.
The reactivity of the body determine the character of alergic
disease. Its can explain that the allergy develope in special group of people.
Determined that the group of risk compose the patients, having gastrointestinal
diseases, medical and dietary allergy, bronchial asthma.
The main marker indicators are used to determine inflammatory, allergic and destructive
changes are succinate dehydrogenase ad lactate dehydrogenase enzymes involved
in the processes of glycolysis. The increase of these indexes in all cases is
direct point into development of allergic and destructive processes.
Materials and methods
Comprehensive evalution and treatment of patients in need of
orthopedic treatment with the use of removable plate dentures, conducted at the
Department of Proshtetic Dentistry Medical Center CSMU. Were examined 45
patients(including women 23; men – 22), which were established partial dentures
of material “Ftorax”.These patients were treatment group(aged 45-75 years).
The composition of the control group consisted of 40 patients
between the ages of 25-65 years.
Comprehensive evalution of patients conducted by schema,
collected medical history, examination of the oral cavity and periodontal
examination of alveolar bone in the area of missing teeth
carrying out the the clinical and labaratory methods of examination,
formulation of diagnosis.
The learning the activity of dehydrogenase and enzymes of Krebs cycle and glycolisis.:
succinate dehydrogenase ad lactate dehydrogenase as a non specific indicator of
cells damage. Is known, the succinate dehydrogenase ad lactate dehydrogenase
are main cell enzymes.
Results of investigation
Cytochemical analysis of the perfomance of peripheral blood
neutrophils in patients and controls showed that the activity of succinate
dehydrogenas(SDH) was 1.84±0,07 conv. u, the activity of lactate dehydrogenase
(LDH)2,3±0,14 conv. u. After installing the removable plate prostheses ”Ftorax”
group of patients who have developed intolerance syndrome akrilantam to aerobic
oxidation (LDH activity)in the peripheral blood neutrophils was reduced by 15,2
%(P<0,05)and anaerobic glycolysis (LDH) increased by 13,5% (P<0.05).These
figures indicate a significant allergic-destructive processes in the oral
cavity.
Conclusions
1.
Revealed,
that in many cases after installation
of removable implants, made from acrylic plastic developed syndrome of
intolerance, that accompanied by inflammatory processes in peridontal tissues.
2.
Analysis of cytochemical indexes of
peripheric blood neutrophils showed, that after installation of removable implants made from materil
“Ftorax” the activity of succinate dehydrogenase decreased (15,2%) and lactate
dehydrogenase – increased by 13,5 %.
