Modern methods of teaching technology
The
objective necessity of technological education is due to the fact that the
current practice of labor and polytechnic training school, which is permanently
distributed on various subjects of practical material in the form of examples
of life, are limiting to implement the principles of consistency and integrity
of education. General subjects have weak technology areas. Now it’s time for
some features of technology education. In today's rapidly changing production
technologies, this change happens only after 2-3 years in some developed
countries. Thus, we need to continuously improve its general and technological
training. Therefore, the focus of education should move from service knowledge,
skills, to formation of the knowledge requirements and skills of self-education.
The main goal is to build knowledge and
skills in the area of social ethics, education, and respect for
the individual, taking care of family and relatives, the restoration and
strengthening of family and national traditions.
Disparate
school subjects cannot fully provide the development of students' technological
vision and thinking with their understanding of processes on the mega-, macro-,
mesa-and micro-display technology universality. Therefore, technology education
involves a move from the objective to the problem based learning. In technology
education, it is necessary to use creative and active learning in order to make
a ‘technologist’ creative: business games, projects, teaching experiments,
individual consultations are a good solution. These methods are able to provide
both the objectification and classification of knowledge.
In
technology education teacher's role is changing. It turns out to be the main
source of knowledge and supervisor consultant, organizer of educational activities
of students, ie Manager in education. Performance criteria of education is also
changing. Thus, the main features of the technology education students are
integrity and consistency, project quality and variability. And essential to
the development of technology education students is to increase the
technological culture of teachers.
Disclosing
the nature and role of technology education teachers in the technological
culture formation, in the needlework and embroidery spheres. Main objectives:
improving of students’ practical skills in learning the ancient art of
embroidery, introduction to different kinds of arts and crafts, folk art and
crafts, the development of artistic initiatives, training habits of
cleanliness, conscious fulfillment of sanitary - hygienic practices at home and
at work; training habits of cleanliness conscious fulfillment of sanitary -
hygienic practices at home and at work; development of respect for the people's
customs and traditions, familiarizing students with the professions and the
designer profession. The content of this
section of the program in computer science is firmly entrenched.
During their studies students are introduced
to the general principles and methods of search, store, organizing and retrieve
information from the sources and carriers of information, the organization of
the data bank. The presence of computers in offices creates additional
opportunities for information storage, speeding up the search, promotes
intellectual development of students. With the help of computer technology
there is the calculation of the cost of materials and products, finding the
right material and the product model, making routing and manufacturing, as well
as information on the different standards for garments, fabrics, shape dimensional
signs etc.
