Comparative
analysis of the level of life
Republic
of Kazakhstan consists of Akmola, Aktobe, Almaty, Atyrau, East Kazakhstan, Zhambyl,
West Kazakhstan, Karaganda, Kostanay, Kizilorda, Mangistau, Pavlodar, North
Kazakhstan, South Kazakhstan regions and 2 cities of republican values: Astana,
Almaty.
The
differences between the levels of life in the regions defined: 1) economic characteristics,
2) living conditions, 3) quantitative and qualitative characteristics of the
population.
Compare
the level of life in the regions of the country can be calculated descriptive
methods or with precise quantitative methods.
It
is possible to use absolute or the relative performance and their aggregate.
To
calculate the index of living areas in this paper used the index method.
It
involves the calculation of ballroom estimates of the values of
parameters. These parameters characterize the different aspects of
socio-economic status of the population.
The
sum of scores for all indicators area, calculated on a 10-point scale is its
standard of living index.
To
calculate the index of the standard of living areas of the Republic of
Kazakhstan used the following indicators: the average monthly salary, the
number of day schools, provision of physicians, the gross regional product per
capita, retail trade turnover per capita.
Specifications
for calculating the indices are shown in Figure 1.

Figure
1. Characteristics of living levels.
To
determine the intervals and calculation of the corresponding points construct
in terms of a number of distribution interval.
For
this we define the maximum and minimum values of each group of
indicators.
Group
the figures for 10 slots.
As
a result, we obtain the values of the intervals and corresponding
points. They are shown in Figure 2.

Figure
2. Value ranges and their corresponding points.
Put
down the scores on selected areas of performance and calculate indices.
As
a result of the summation indices can be divided into three groups of regions:
Ø
with a high standard
of living;
Ø
with an average
standard of living;
Ø with a low standard of living.
The
areas with the highest standard of living of the population are Astana, Almaty,
Atyrau region, Mangystau region (indicators 2009).
In
the group with an average standard of living of the population consists of Aktobe, Karaganda,
East Kazakhstan, Akmola, South Kazakhstan, Pavlodar regions.
In
the group with the lowest standard of living includes Kizilorda, Almaty, Zhambyl, Kostanay
regions.
For
areas with a high standard of living of the population is characterized by high
indices of a number of indicators: high average monthly salary, high GRP per
capita.
Region
of the second group are characterized by the average values of
living standards. This high number of educational schools, average crime
rate in the republic, average gross regional product, low level of
average wages.
In
the third group: lowest average monthly salary, low level of gross regional
product, low level of retail trade.
