The index of the
standard of living
(materials Kostanai region)
Currently there are
many definitions of quality of life and methods of its calculation.
In
our paper we propose the method of calculation of the index.
It
is based on the method of combining different indicators.
For
scores based scale ranges of values in terms of all the regions. The
ranges are determined based on the minimum and maximum values of
this index.
The
ranges are divided into ten equal intervals. Each interval
corresponds to a certain number of points (of the first to tenth).
The
sum of scores for all indicators in the region, derived in accordance with a
10-point scale, and is the index of the standard of living.
Kostanai
region includes 16 districts and 4 cities of regional importance: Altynsarin,
Amangeldy, Auliekol, Denisov, Dzhangeldy, Zhitikara, Kamysty, Karabalyk,
Karasu, Kostanay, Mendykara, Naurzum, Sarykol, Taranov, Uzunkol, Fedorov, city: Kostanai, Arkalyk, Lisakovsk, Rudniy.
To
derive the index of living standards Kostanai region were used such indicators:
·
the average monthly salary;
·
unemployment;
· total volume of retail trade turnover;
· the number of doctors of all specialties, for 10,000 people;
· the number of day schools.
Initial
indicators are presented in Table 1.

As
a result, calculation of the index with the following results. Indexes groups of
indicators are presented in Figure 1.

Thus, in the first place was the Kostanai,
Rudniy, Auliekol, Karasu, Kostanay, Mendykara areas.
These regions have high indices of the
following indicators: the average monthly salary, the number of day schools, number
of physicians in all specialties, low unemployment,
The second group consists Karabalyk, Fedorov,
Sarykol, Altynsarin, Denisov, Uzunkol, Amangeldy, Zhitikara areas.
The third group includes Lisakovsk, Arkalyk,
Kamysty, Dzhangeldy, Naurzum areas.
