Changing the
speed of salivation in orthopedic patients with a syndrome of intolerance.
The problem of intolerance to the materials used in medicine remains
today one of the most pressing . This is due to the following circumstances.
First, the continuously increasing number of medicines and materials used for
therapeutic purposes as well as for replacing lost or missing tissues and organs.
Second, change the reactivity of the human body as a result of increasing
antigenic load from the external environment against adverse environmental
conditions . Third, the ever-increasing emotional stress , cause the
restructuring of human neuro , which reduces resistance to other external
factors , including the nature of the substances antigen . This may to some
extent explain the large increase in allergic diseases in both developed and
developing countries. Among the materials commonly used in medicine and in the
domestic sphere , widely used plastic. And with plastics that are used in
medical practice , including in dentistry greatest popularity belongs acrylates
. The number of patients who use dentures from acrylic plastic is continuously
growing due to an increase in life expectancy of people and widespread
pathology of the hard tissues of the teeth and periodontal - the main cause of
tooth loss .
Simultaneously with the increase in the number of people using dental
prosthesis , an increasing number of patients who can not use them for various
reasons. Clinically , patients have marked changes in the tissues of the mouth,
due to both allergic and non-specific inflammation , burning and other non-
pleasant feelings . Among the many causes of intolerance , which are
subsequently discussed in our review of literature , an important place belongs
to the chemical and toxic- allergic effects , leading to general and local pat.
Found that the development syndrome patients hypersensitive to acrylic
resin is a reaction expressed by the organism, as evidenced by an increase in
oxidation, and trypsin activity antitripticheskoy mixed saliva against the
functional activity of the salivary glands, the aerobic oxidation and reduction
of the growth of anaerobic glycolysis, increase the bioelectric activity of the
oral cavity, and and the prevalence of anaerobic over aerobic microflora.
In the group of healthy subjects (control group) rate of speed
salivation was 0,67 ± 0,028 ml / min. After you install the removable plate
dentures of acrylates, salivation rate increased by 19.4% (P <0.05) and
amounted to 0,80 ± 0,035 ml / min.During monitoring of
clinical and laboratory studies in orthopedic patients after installing
removable plate dentures from acrylic plastic (group 1 cases) revealed that
within a month after the performance of prosthetic Schiller- Pisarev increased
by 46 % and amounted to 1,65 ± 0 , 18 points , a similar pattern was observed
in the analysis of the speed salivation , which by this time was higher benchmarks
by 19.4 % and amounted to 0,80 ± 0,35 ml / min, the biopotentials mouth
increased by 15.4 % and accounted for 180 ± 4,0 mV.
All of the foregoing has allowed us to assume and conclude that
orthopedic patients after installing removable plate dentures from acrylic
plastic for 1 month there was a significant bearing the character of a
statistically significant, the shift of the studied parameters, which, in our
opinion, is the body's reaction to the patient acrylates and is regarded by us
as a syndrome of intolerance. It was revealed that the syndrome of intolerance
in orthopedic patients wearing removable dentures from acrylic laminar plastics
causes significant impairment of the enzymatic activity of mixed saliva, which
are confirmed in an increase in the antioxidant activity of 14.7%,
antitripticheskoy activity by 17.2%, trypsin activity by 17 3%.
To speed up the process of adaptation and mitigation of adverse events
is recommended to use prebiotics "Biodent - 4".
