Values purposes of students of specialty veterinary medicine

 

The system of valuable orientations defines the substantial party of an orientation of the personality and makes a basis of its relations to world around, to other people, to itself, a basis of outlook and a kernel of motivation of activity, a basis of the vital concept, including the relation to study [1,2].

For determination of values purposes the technique "Valuable orientations" M. Rokich [3] was used.

Priority values purposes of students of specialty veterinary medicine are presented in the table.

From the provided table it is visible that for first-year students the health, financially secure life and presence of friends are priority.  The choice on these values was made by 4 respondents of ten respondents.

On the second year the main priority value is the health, nine people chose this indicator from ten.

Such value as love is priority at students of a third year. Five people choose it from ten.

80% of students of the fourth year of specialty veterinary medicine choose health, as priority value. And, seven persons put it on the first place at poll.

On the fifth year, as well as on the second nine people put health on the first places.

However, such values purposes as knowledge and productive life – three choice, development – two, beauty of the nature, happiness of others and self-confidence – at one choice don't use attention at students. Also students aren't able to have a good time at all. This value wasn't chosen by any respondent from 50 respondents, with first on the fifth courses.

Especially guards that fact that such values as knowledge and development aren't actively demanded at the students, only three respondents chose knowledge and two development from fifty respondents on all five courses, that is further improvement of students doesn't excite.
