Determination of the optimal range of wagons arriving at the cargo fronts

Under the conditions of the uneven arrival of wagons, with the aim of improving the organization of the shunting and freight transportation by calculation must be determined the maintenance interval of cargo fronts.

In determining the magnitude of the interval for cargo wagons fronts is necessary to consider its dependence on the number of simultaneously serviced cargo fronts, for which is defined by the total maximum duration of the cargo operation, resulting conditions:

where  - the minimum service interval of cargo front, hour;

  - time to complete cargo operations,hour;;

  - time to perform the operation arrangement with assembling of wagons, hour;

  - the right timewhich is necessaryto move the wagons to the front of this freight.

By analyzing the statistical distribution of the interval between innings of cars on separate cargo fronts can determine the probability of the optimal interval between innings, and the expected probability of demurrage before cargo operations and easy loading and unloading mechanisms in the case when the interval between innings more than the time it takes toperformance of freight operations.

The time of fulfillment of cargo operations depends on the number of simultaneously processed wagons, the number of mechanisms, their hourly productivity, additionaltime on the set-closing operation and can be determined by the formula:

where - the number of wagons in filing;

  - The load of the wagon, t;

  - The number of loading and unloading mechanisms at the i-th front of the cargo;

  - hourly capacity of cargo handling equipment, t / h;

  - Time for set-closing operations.

The interval between innings equal to  determine from the following expression

,

Such a way with a probability of P () submission wagons on the front of the cargo will be produced on the minimum interval.

The distribution function for transmission intervals of arrival cargo front determined in the range of 0 to  by the formula:

,

will determine the position when arriving wagons await the start of the cargo operations.

The numerical value of the optimum range is within the

,

where  - themaximumdurationforcargooperation, h;

 - run time of shunting operations on the group cargo front, h.

Consequently, the time for cargo front group required to perform the maximum load operation and production of shunting works determine the interval of service. On the amount of the space are imposed a limitations by the conditions of technology services of group front. Moreover, improvementof themaintenance technology leads to a reduction intervals due to:

- reducing the duration and maximum combination of operations for the presentation and cleaning of wagons;

- Strengtheningof technical management tools of shunting routes and cargo handling operations;

- The combination of the run-time of technical and commercial operations and reducing their number;

- Timely and qualitative determination of the maximum load operation.

Violation of technology and priority of cargo fronts service, inaccurate determination of the maximum load operation or an increase in its operation can lead to high costs of wagon-hours service for individual and group commercial fronts, and thus violating the sequence of operations.

The frequent interval deviation from the planned arrival of transmission leads to abrupt complications in the production of shunting operations to dismantle and service of cargo fronts and causes extra downtimes of wagons and machinery.

From this we can conclude that the calculation of the optimal interval of arrival for cargo fronts now is urgent and solvable problem.
