Review of GIS software products
ArcGIS
is a system for building GIS any level. ArcGIS enables to easily create data,
maps, globes, and models in desktop software, and then publish them and use in
desktop applications, web browsers and in the field, through mobile devices.
ArcGIS includes a number of popular modular programs, namely:
• XTools Pro for
ArcGIS is a unique collection of useful tools for spatial analysis of
converting objects and work with attribute tables in ArcGIS, significantly
expanding the functionality of standard system ArcGIS
• CarryMap for
ArcGIS is a software extension to ArcGIS for creating electronic maps and GIS
projects in the form of an executable file (*.exe),
• SXF Tools for
ArcGIS is the extension to ArcGIS, which is designed for converting spatial
data from format SXF (GIS «Panorama») in the formats .gdb, .mdb, .sde supported
ArcGIS.
• TAB Reader for ArcGIS
- represents an additional plug-in for ArcGIS, which is intended for direct
reading of the data in formats MapInfo TAB and MIF/MID ArcGIS to preserve the
existing rendering properties legend and information about the coordinate
system defined in the format XXXX.
• AgroKarta for
ArcGIS is a set of tools for automated processing of agrochemical data,
monitoring of soil fertility and the formation of the database on the areas and
regions.
• Tracking Well for
ArcGIS is the solution based on ArcGIS for visualization of 3D data and
effective management of spatial data drilling at the corporate level.
MapInfo -
geographic information system (GIS)designed for collection, storage, display,
editing and analysis of spatial data.
2GIS (ÄóáëüÃÈÑ - free electronic reference book of organizations
with a map of the city. 11 030 000 PC users in more than 140 cities of Russia
and Ukraine regularly use 2GIS in the personal purposes and to solve business
problems.
GIS Zulu - using
Zulu you can create all kinds of cards in the geographical projections, or
master plan, including maps and schemes of utility networks supporting their
topology, work with a large number of raster, to implement a common semantic
and spatial analysis of graphical and tabular data, create a variety of
thematic maps, to export and import data.
GRASS (GIS)
geographic information system (GIS)is used for data management, image
processing, graphics, spatial modeling, and visualization of different types of
data.
To build a
comprehensive GIS should have several of the above described programs and
specialized equipment.
