Modern problems of Ukrainian enterprises management

 

Nowadays there is the tendency of increasing of economic environment uncertainty. Therefore, managers face great challenges. It is necessary to react on changes in order to be competitive in contemporary market and to make the company successful. It is important to study the characteristics of Ukrainian management as well as management and forming approaches to their improvement. To achieve this objective we need to describe the most pressing problems of Ukrainian enterprises management and to consider approaches concerning Ukrainian management improvement. The term ‘management’ includes different functions that must be performed for successful completion. In one word, management is everything about ‘getting things done’. However, it is the way and the process of how one achieves objective and in this respect management is considered an art and a science as well.

Today, the importance of management from organization’s point of view has considerably increased. Due to effective management companies develop and execute their business policies and strategies to maximize their profits and provide market with the best products and services. Modern management combines creative, business, organizational, analytical and other skills to produce effective goal-oriented results. Some of the key functions in management include learning to delegate, planning and organizing, communicating clearly, controlling situations, motivating employees, adapting to change, constantly innovating and thinking of new ideas, creating a good team and delivering results which are not just figure-bound but results that also focus on overall growth and development.

Management focuses on the entire organization in both a short and a long-term perspective. Management is the managerial process of forming a strategic vision, setting objectives, crafting a strategy and then implementing and executing the strategy. Problems of modern management refer to a "smooth" flow of management functions including planning, organization, motivation, leadership and control. Errors in strategic planning and tactical business processes are very expensive. Unwillingness and inability to motivate staff to exploits condemn the company for the average financial stagnation on the bench of "spare". The lack of effective monitoring of the organization as a whole and its individual departments, employees, projects and tasks do not only negate all the efforts to found the company in the leaders of a certain area but also threaten its financial security and business operation.

Management takes a particular place in a market economy of our country. It is known that the effective management of the organization must consider existing and potential problems in management.

The problems for resolving by Ukrainian managers are the following:

1.     The transition from limited liability companies to partnerships or corporations.

2.     Hiring effective managers instead of company founders.

3.     The crisis of growth.

4.     Inability of company management to set objectives and identify criteria of operational efficiency.

5.     Formation of a new recruitment strategy

6.      Neglecting education.

7.     Switch of Ukrainian enterprises to marketing principle.

8.     Entrance of big foreign companies to the Ukrainian market.

The fundamental principles of the financial management of enterprises at the current stage of development of the world economy significant changed.

The ³nnovative development and integration of the economy of Ukraine into the global economy require a revision of current concepts of financial management of businesses. Market globalization became the cause of increased risks and of the number of financially insolvent enterprises.

The internal causes of the crisis of  domestic enterprises are: the high price, obsolete equipment and facilities, significant payable and receivable accounts, shortage of current capital, inefficient marketing, conflicts of interest between  participants of financial and economic relations and so on. All these factors are the result of inefficient management which untimely implements the appropriate preventive measures. The national business entities must be able to resist to  risks of market globalization. This should occur due to  timely implementation of preventive anti-crisis measures at domestic enterprises. The growing risks in international financial and commodity markets necessitates developing of foundations of  implementation of a new scientific paradigm in crisis management of  enterprises in the concept (framework) of a preventive management. The choice of the adequate effective preventive measures in the enterprise is a complicated scientific task. Solving this problem involves the development and implementation of a new paradigm of preventive financial management.

The result of the reforms and the emergence of problematic situations in the theory and practice of social and economic processes is the transformation of methods for solving of complex economic, political, social and other problems by various researchers. The necessity of development of a new or upgrading of an existing paradigm arises. Statistical analysis reveals that many domestic Ukrainian companies are in a deep financial crisis, this is why the renewal of the paradigm of financial management is cuurent problem.

Conclusion. The solution of the existing problems of management in Ukraine requires systemic mechanisms at the national level. One of the main elements of this mechanism is to build a national system of standards of management. The widespread introduction of modern management techniques and , especially , awareness of entrepreneurs will cause its own problems of "round tables" with the participation of leading experts. Need some change as priorities by the state. Macroeconomic indicators have improved not only the world market , but also improve the efficiency of every employee.

The solution of the existing problems of management in Ukraine requires systematic mechanisms at the national level. One of the main elements of this mechanism is to build a national system of standards of management. The widespread introduction of modern management techniques and, especially, awareness of entrepreneurs will cause its own problems of "round tables" with the participation of leading experts. The change of priorities on the part of the state is also needed. Macroeconomic indicators have improved both the world market and the efficiency of every employee.
