In our time, used a number of different methods for the treatment of
orthopedic patients, a large number of technological approaches. So, as the
problem is now in first place, and over time the number of patients
increases.One of the most effective technological approaches that affect the microbiological
is Schiller - Pisarev.
With Schiller- Pisarev judged the presence , extent and severity of the
inflammatory process. Schiller- Pisarev is based on the detection of glycogen
in the gums , the content of which increases dramatically during inflammation
due to keratinization of the epithelium. In the gingival epithelium of healthy
individuals glycogen is either absent or has his tracks . Depending on the
intensity of the inflammation of the gums color for lubrication modified
Lugol's solution ( potassium iodide - 2.0 g , iodine crystal - 1.0 g ,
distilled water - 40.0 ml ) varies from light brown to dark brown in color . In
the presence of periodontal healthy difference in the color of the gums is not
found .
The sample can also serve as a criterion for evaluating the
effectiveness of the treatment, as well as anti-inflammatory therapy reduces

Methodology of Schiller-Pisarev:
1. Prepared 0.5% Lugol.
