Features of Smart House technology

House is the place where people come every day to rest from the noises and vanity of the big city, problems at work and other troubles. And, of course, everybody wants the house to be a place of safety and coziness.

In recent years technologies of «smart house» become very popular, acquiring more advanced forms and content.

According to the estimate of Direct INFO (research and consulting company that works since 1996) Russian market of home automation systems, in recent years, rapidly developing and growing [2], which can be observed in the chart below.

           "Smart House" is a system organized for comfortable living of people with the help of automation and high-tech devices. These systems need to ensure the safety and comfort of all users, as well as to save their resources and finances. Smart House examines the processes taking place in the room, and respond to them accordingly. [5]

«Smart house» system can be controlled by a computer, phone or touch panel, even remotely.

The main differences of "smart home":

1)       Reliability and safety of the premises, which are provided by:

-     video monitoring system that allows you to observe, from anywhere in the world,  the images from the cameras installed at home by connecting to the camera via the Internet server equipped with a Wi-Fisensor;

-     security system that can not only view images from video monitoring cameras, but also to remotely enable or disable the alarm, turn on a spotlight and sirens, and if there was penetration, then send a signal to the security service and to owner. Also, "smart locks" can be embedded whichcan be remotelycontroled by entering code, RFID-cards, fingerprints [4];

-     fire protection system, which can stop the spread of fire, warn residents and fire service;

-     leakage controlling system, which uses various sensors and helps with possible leaks in different places: next to the toilet, washing machine, under the kitchen sink, etc. This system can also turn off the tap (sending a signal to the controller) [1].

2)                Essential economy on utility costs (up to 30%), due to the fact that the "smart house" system turns off all the devices that are not in use, which can significantly reduce the load on the electrical network. Using the same principle, the system will not heat the room when no one is home (the program setsminimum air temperature for the whole working day and raises it an hour before your visit).

Anotherfeatureofthe «smarthouse» system is the fact that you can set different temperature in different rooms.

3)                More comfortable accommodation.

For example, itBed helps in sleep improvement. Itprovides sleep monitoring: detects the pulse, respiration rate and how often do you toss and turn while sleeping with built-in sensors. As a result, you can get a current assessment of sleep and personal recommendations. Also it`s possible to change the stiffness of bed[4].

"Smart" refrigerator cannot be replaced in the kitchen.It canhave Internetconnection,can send photos andalso a built-in TV, radio and a touch panel. Residents of the home can leave each other notes and order products in specialized stores. This refrigerator itself can create a list of products that are currently stored in it. And if the voice module is installed, then you can even talk to it - a refrigerator will give you the tips on how to properly store food [4].

Purity assistant is a smart bucket cleaner, which removes garbage around itself. Once the package is filled inside, the owner receives a notification. This bucket has a built-in pocket for garbage bags and lets you know when their stock ends [4].

Petcube Bites is a special tracking center that cares about beloved pets, it has a built-in Full HD camera with infrared illumination, which sends video on your phone so you can feed a pet or talk to them. [4]

Thanks to the "smart house" system you can enable and disable any lamp or any electrical appliance when you want to, this can significantly make life easier for you; you can operate with climate control in the room (the system will maintain the temperature by adjusting the power of the radiators, convectors and air conditioners, and the target temperature will be provided through the humidifier and sensors).

With the «multi-room»system you can create audio and video filling throughout the house (if you go from one room to another you can see that in each of them music or movie is different). And also"home theater" system can create very cozy atmosphere formovie viewing (automatic actuators can remotely control curtains, move and adjust the blinds).

And, of course, with a function of "smart garden" it is easier to monitor the plants (it is responsible for automatic watering, observation, etc.) [1]. There are special high-tech pods with light sensor and humidity sensorin it. There is also access to a database with information about 7000 plants and the rules of care. Pot can moisturize the soil from the two-liter water tank built into it and allows the owner to live a month without further ado [4].

You can easily manage all these devices while sitting in a room by pressing a single button on your phone, tablet or PC.

From all the above, we can conclude that the "smart house" system in many aspects superior to the conventional. This is shown by centralized management of all systems and smart computer that manages every process. "Smart" features, such as light sensors, smoke, leakage controlsensors, alarm system, automatic gates, cinema and automatic watering in the garden, change the quality of life for the better.
