Priority values-means students of
"Veterinary Medicine"
Values-means
or instrumental value - is the belief that any course of action or property of
the individual is a prerequisite-chtitelnym in any situation.
R.S.
Nemov said, "... the modern youth is not peculiar to any childish innocence,
nor podrostnichesky, denies all the negativity. The current generation of young
people, despite the fact that in their views and behavior, they are not much
different from boys and girls living centuries ago, some of the more sober,
reasonable and practical view of life is much greater independence and
autonomy" [1].
The
social events that have occurred over the last decade, both in the world and in
Kazakhstan, the transformation of society, economic activity, education, and continuing
today, forcing young people to greater autonomy in choosing the way of life,
profession, values. Therefore, the majority of young men and
women produced such a psychology, which sometimes differ significantly from the
psychology of young people of past decades.
Change
in the younger generation and the attitude to education, obtaining create more
knowledge, the estimates for the performance. Observing that the attitude to
learning and gain points at the current students is quite different from
previous sets, we set out to consider what kind of values-means occupy a
leading position among students of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
To
investigate this issue, we used the method of "Value orientations" by
M. Rokeach, particularly valuable tool, STI, or values-means [2]. The survey
was conducted among the students of "Veterinary Medicine", one
through five courses. Were interviewed ten respondents each stream.
The
results are illustrated in the table and graph.
The
table above shows that the primary means to achieve any goals in life for the
students of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine is a good breeding. This tool
has selected 22 students interviewed 50 people in all five courses, accounting
for 44% of the total. And in the fourth year this value has chosen six people,
leaving 60% of the respondents. In the third year value - breeding has been
selected by five respondents - 50% of all students surveyed in this course.

priority values means students majoring in veterinary medicine
Such
means of achieving both rationalism for students of "Veterinary
Medicine" has no value, this value is not chosen any one of the fifty
respondents surveyed.
Thus,
we can conclude that among the students majoring in "Veterinary
Medicine" priorities are universal values, such means as
punctuality, politeness and responsibility. But the value of the training in
higher education - education, open-mindedness, self-control and hard work do
not use a lot of attention among the young people interviewed.
