GEOGRAPHY OF TOURISM IN THE USA. HISTORICAL BACKGROUND AND MODERN TRENDS

Tourists should go in the United States not only to see how this empire lives on this planet. Often besides economic data and military reports we forget that this country holds priceless monuments. In addition to it there is only one USA Library of Congress where many rare documents were collected during the last centuries! Of course, the United States - is a whole world of travel, the world with a variety of places that you can just admire - Grand Canyon in Colorado, the Niagara Falls, and the Statue of Liberty and the bridge, "Golden Gate" and much more. This interesting route will help you understand how originated, developed and fought for its life a country that (unlike European) never knew neither monarchy nor tyranny [1]. Isn’t it interesting to visit the place where, according to legend, the first ship landed immigrants from the Old World? In search of a new life they were having and they build their life so that in the end realized that could well do without old England. A walk along the pier at Boston harbor and see the water, where settlers dumped bales of tea, thus giving the start of "Boston Tea Party" and the beginning of universal resistance colonial authorities? Isn’t it interesting to visit that building in the city of Philadelphia, where, in fact alone, prominent American figure was drafted by Thomas Jefferson Declaration of Independence, a document which still remains a model of freedom and human dignity? During a trip to the USA it is worth to visit the estate of George Washington - not the last man among the Founding Fathers of the United States [3]. This man had the share to lead the country in a difficult time of the Revolutionary War, and he passed the test with flying colors, leaving a new young country full of strength and desire to develop. You can visit the Fort Sumter, with which the Civil War began the assault of the northern and southern states [2]. Until now, almost a half century later, this conflict remains the worst in the country's history - with it can not match even the loss of the Second World War. With the development of international tourism the USA is much inferior to Europe, but the country is visited annually 30 - 40 million. It got great development domestic tourism. Tourism in the United States was formed into a powerful industry that serves millions of international and domestic tourists each year. Tourists visit the United States to see natural wonders, cities, places significant events and entertainment options. These same objects attract and Native Americans, but they are also interested in a vacation area, recreational areas. USA is considered an important center for educational tourism. There are prestigious universities that attract many foreign students: Harvard, Yale, Stanford, Princeton. USA is the center of world sport. National Hockey and Basketball League, the prestigious international tennis tournaments and ski slopes attract athletes and fans from many countries [3]. The country is divided into 12 recreational areas through which the country develops all kinds of tourism that are needed to attract tourists. United States with abundant natural resources beneficial designated for tourism development in the country. The country is rich in fascinating landscapes, mountains, canyons, beautiful national parks, lakes, sandy beaches - all this contributes to a large flow of tourists into the country.
