POWER SYSTEM "SMART
HOME"
"Smart Home" - it is a set of technologies and systems that
help to make our lives comfortable, safe and of course, to save on costs through
optimization of energy.
To ensure correct operation of the complex requires a good power supply
system, which plays a role in the foundation of the house.
Power System performs the following functions: it provides trouble-free
operation of all home devices; extends the life of the equipments; reduces
energy costs (unplugging unused appliances, or switch off the appliance when
the power supply is overloaded) [1]; voltage change in the lighting system (can
be programmed to different intensities of light which will be automatically
changed depending on the time of day, the weather, the presence or absence of
people in the room, etc.); notify the owner, with SMS-messages on a phone,
about what is happening in the house (i. e., overheating, short-circuit or failure
of the equipment) [2].

The power system is located in the special power supplies, which are
evenly distributed over the network, which provides a balanced electrical load
[3].
Power supplies are protected against short-circuit, and when power
failure in the electrical greed - all the equipments in the system saves your
settings.
In case of brief power outage "smart home" system smoothes out
fluctuations in power supply voltage, and prolonged absence of power - switch
off all equipment, security and communication systems [3].
For stable operation of the "smart home" systems needed to
power all the devices was fed without interruption, i. e. the operation of
equipment in the moments of commutation should be not disrupted.

Let us consider in detail, all the components of an uninterruptible
power supply structure.
Batteries - storage device and save the electricity. It is allow you to convert
the unstable current and voltageof the generating device to a constant and
stable [4]. The main indicator of the battery - it's capacitance, measured in
ampere-hours (Ah). Number of batteries is determined by calculation on the
project-specific power home.
Batteries can be connected in series - to increase the output voltage,
or in parallel - for the operation at the same voltage, but with increased
current output [4].
Petrol or diesel generators turned on automatically when disconnected
centralized power on and off when it starts. More, the batteries to protect
from dropping in voltage.
Current converters function as inverters. From batteries, they receive a
direct current voltage of 6, 12, 24, etc. (V) and invert it into alternating
current voltage of 220 volts and 50 Hz - the necessary parameters for household
appliances.
Chargers are selected based on the capacity of the batteries required to
power "smart home".
Manage the power system can be remotely by installing the appropriate
software beforehand, via SMS messages, and monitor the state of the system is
possible through special applications [1].
Everyone wants his house to be comfortable and safe for life. This can
be achieved only with the help of reliable and high quality power supply system
because any electrical equipment is very sensitive to power quality, and the
negative consequences can be as minor failures and serious damage to the
equipment.
The power supply system of "smart home" allows to eliminating
disturbances in the supply of electricity, such as:
- Voltage dips that lead to outages and equipment overload;
- Deviations and fluctuations that significantly affect the efficiency
of power supply units;
- Lightning pulses, which can damage the device.
Thus, it becomes possible to provide consumers with the necessary
quality of electricity.
The power supply system of "smart home" can save on utility
bills up to 35% [1].
