At modern democratic school of Russia there shouldn't
be a formal control. Test control as a form of modern estimation of knowledge,
skills of pupils - a peculiar method of training also has to have the focus
pronounced training, developing, to connect to self-checking, to be necessary
and useful first of all to the trainee.
Attempts to change the approaches to school control
accepted last century gave nothing as almost all offers and innovations were
grouped round one question – whether to use at schools of an assessment, or to
do without them.
In the standard understanding control means check, the
systematic accounting of progress of pupils. Control is a component of process
of training and provides the teacher of information on the course of cognitive
activity of pupils in the course of training: about the level of digestion of
new material, typical difficulties of pupils, etc.
The solution of these tasks causes the necessity of search of means of disclosure of
identity of the identity of the pupil. Experience of the western education
system forces to address to testing practice which was widely adopted in
teaching and educational process.
Tests differ from traditional estimates and control of
knowledge of school students in objectivity of measurement of results of
training as they are guided not by subjective opinion of teachers, and by
objective empirical criteria.
Tests
promote the solution of educational tasks of mastering program knowledge,
skills. Use at a lesson of tests demand from the teacher of transition from a
habitual role of the mentor to a role of the controler to a position of the
observant assistant who learns less and brings up, and helps children studies
independently more, to fix and analyze an individual trajectory of the doctrine
of each child.
The
test technology as nature corresponding and health saving technology of control
of quality of educational achievements of pupils, reduces the level of
psychological uneasiness, a stressful state.
Implementation
of tests develops skills of critical thinking: ability independently to analyze
a study question, to estimate the offered versions of answers, to make a choice
of the correct answer. Model of work on tests: "A call – judgment of the
contents – a reflection".
The
main advantage of test check in speed, and traditional check by means of
didactic materials in its validity.
Tests
are convenient for control of knowledge with application of various type of the
controlling cars in classes of program control that is especially important
"to provide with a reform objective broad application in educational
process".
Tests
allow to estimate success of training of group of pupils on the basis of the
stage-by-stage analysis of knowledge of pupils.
So,
having studied essence of control of knowledge, skills of pupils, we come to a
conclusion that dependence of efficiency of training on quantity, quality,
completeness, timeliness (efficiency), depth and objectivity of monitoring is
the general regularity of all didactic process. The role of control of
knowledge in educational process raises also due to the need to reveal
exceptional children and students on all education levels to organize for them special forms of
educational activity, to carry out differentiation in training. The solution of the last tasks is impossible without
diagnostics of inclinations, abilities and versatile development of pupils.
Control
of knowledge and abilities of pupils has a number of the positive moments:
pupils repeat, fix the studied material, learn to talk, reason, logically to
state thoughts, to raise questions; control cultivates responsibility, honesty,
objectivity, diligence and many other merits in pupils. Thus,
control in teaching and educational process allows to establish quality of
theoretical knowledge and practical skills of pupils, ways of their educational
activity, extent of intellectual development, and also level of pedagogical
skill of the teacher. There is a set of methods of the organization of control
of knowledge and abilities therefore before the teacher the wide choice of
forms and types of control opens. Only the
organic and rational combination oral, written and other control methods,
coordinated on time of carrying out, reliability and a validity of a method of
an assessment, and also providing adequate differentiation of the estimated
pupils, can be considered effective in system of the organization of full
educational process.
