THE PLACE OF THE MASS MEDIA IN RAISING A CHILD

From
a day when Kazakhstan gets independence, the main goal of our nation was make
Kazakhstan one of the fifty developed countries and form national identity and
world vision in people. As well as to make a future of our country, the next
generations should be socialized according to demands of society and time. The realization of all these duties rests
not only on the educational institutions, also such responsibility have a mass
media.
Mass
media – the press, radio, television and internet, all of them connects the
journalism with the audience and have own influence in solutions of problems of
education, developing and upbringing a child by providing the information which
is the additional instrument of socializing. Using the mass media the knowledge
about national values and legacy can be provided to the people, especially to
the students, and it is the main goal of pedagogy science in our country. Of
course, mass media should influence to the child correctly. And guide them to
right way is the most desired achievement for people. In accordance with it in March 6, 2009 in the message “Through crisis to renovation and prosperity” of
the president N.A.Nazarbayev to the people sets forth: “I appeal to the mass
media to demonstrate active citizenship. You do not accidentally called the
"fourth power". Now the media should act as a "counselor"
for people in the issue of how is best to overcome difficulties, how to
survive, how to standout in this difficult time. It is necessary to teach the
citizens on the positive experience of other people. The same role should have
our scientific and creative intelligentsia. It is necessary to give more
materials that maintain such sentiments as confidence, personal activity,
patience, patriotism, love for the Motherland.” After this message a creative
collective of a mass media, which provided the national values through people,
got a big responsibility. Thereby, all information from television and
magazines oriented to form a view for life and self-confidence. Mostly mass
media influences to teenagers in a school, through information and films. In
this period of life from psychological point of view teenagers imitates
everything what they like and at this period they developing the sense of
purpose. If a kid saw some information from television which provides positive
sentiments, then such information should form a nice behavior.
Mass
media affects not only on a single person, it also affects on a social groups,
as result mass media aims to make an influence on consciousness and behavior of
a person through society which effects to the correct socialization and
adaptation. In this case, mass media makes a big contribution to the expansion
of worldview and socializing of students, and helps them to develop as a
person. It mentioned before that information from television which provides
positive sentiments should form a nice behavior. According to this, Russian
researcher Georgy Kuznetcov introduced
five pedagogical criterions for information which influences on a person:
1. If spectator saw information which can be useful for his further
actions, then such information has a big importance. For example, weather
forecast and exchange rates.
2. Information which satisfies the interests of a spectator.
3. Information which make worry a spectator. For example, accidents and
crimes.
4. Information
should cause intention to participate in certain circumstances. At the same
time, the audience "What if I were in his place and how would I affect?" searches for the answer to the question. Therefore, any information should be to create a more positive qualities.
5. Should be the
aesthetical value of the information. Every nation in order to form a
personality that has a high level of respect for the country, should first
speak about what to national channels should be programs in their native
language.
Given these
circumstances, as witnesses we see that many parents are working and doing
their own thing, put the bringing up children in the second place. In such
cases, teens who are high school students needing attention and diligence
watching western movies and TV shows, but not interesting itself national
program channels. It is in the direction of
democratic changes in the country, according to information directly related to
the acquisition of the social. We have
difficulties to take the information and use it in a society where given
freedom of speech and media. Especially, it is very
difficult for teenagers. Therefore, at the
modern time, when we have big quantity of information, the desire to use the
favorable side of the child's upbringing should be one of the main purposes of
the centers of upbringing. If to take into account
the opinion of scientists now when the development of the information society,
they give such estimates: a society based on the development of information and
telecommunication technologies; using to obtain the necessary information to
the person and the state, without barriers and educational society where there
is a condition to work with him; On the one hand, acceptance of the world
culture, on the other hand the opening of horizons for the development of their
home country. And it is on the one hand consider that the establishment of
world view during the development of the information society legitimate, on the
other hand need to beware of some teenagers from harmful information, it now
from a pedagogical point of view, the cardinal problem.
With this regard, recent studies have shown the role of
media development in children and adolescents is increasing gain.
Summing up, parents
and teachers, which affect the development of the child shall in all through
circumstances to pay particular attention to children's socialization and
development. Especially teachers by
giving them education and diverse information, should strengthen their desire
to learn. And in order to obtain the
above interesting materials teachers should not only be limited to textbooks,
but also pay attention to the media and national channels and be closely linked
with them. For example, among our television programs as
"Kazakhstan", "El Arna" and "Khabar" promote
Kazakh signs at the same time put in the way of showing the news in the Kazakh
language. The other channels usually
show movies and news in Russian. However,
we should consider some cases. A representative
of another nationality must know Kazakh language, because he lives in the
Kazakh steppe, where our ancestors dreamed of waving our flag. Each person is happy living in this country, so as a sign
of respect for the Kazakh people should know and honor the custom and tradition
and religion. Closer to the truth that
the current program in a different language displayed on the blue screen, have
a bad influence on young people, absorbing not Kazakh traditions and
distinctive quality.
