Media Information Resources Content: Information Technology Support

This article examines the problems of creating websites content. The efficiency of the company depends not solely on the production organisation, but also on effective organisation of the processes of interaction with the external environment. Within the framework of these processes various media information resources are created, the content of which should contribute to the establishment of new expedient links with the elements of this company`s environment. The technology proposed in this paper is aimed at solving the problem of increasing content orientation on different user groups, as well as maintaining its relevance.

To achieve this goal, methods of analysis and formalisation are used. These methods allow studying the subject area and constructing mathematical model. The sources for this paper are various linguistic articles, which contain the characteristics of human perception, and scientific works on the study of language systems.

Moving on to the research itself, it should be noted that any organisation developing under the influence of its business environment (BE) develops it by carrying out informational impact (InIm) – initiation of the BE needs which are satisfied with the products of the company. One of its means is the InIm content, i.e. information that has a certain function, form and content, and is placed on the information resources of the company. Currently, these are mainly web-resources, and at the moment they, more often than not, perform the function of provision, not impact.

InIm is based on the principles of urgency, relevance and orientation, in accordance with which 2 tasks are solved when creating the content:

1. To maintain the content of the InIm in an up-to-date state. The content of informational impact can be formalised as the following tuple:

where Q (P) is a set of indicators of products or services offered by the company; ΔF (P) is multiplicity changes in the process of object functioning when using the company's product;  is a set of positive indicators of the effectiveness of the company's product use;  is a set of quality assurance provided by the company in relation to its products or services [1]. On the web-resource Pinf is presented as a set of informational messages xi. Each xi is matched with the resource Ri needed to create it. In accordance with the principle of relevance when changing any Ri, it is necessary to initiate a change in the corresponding xi. There are 2 groups of information sources: external (information about other companies, their products, customer references of the company, etc.) and internal (information from the company's KIS stores). Both can physically be divided into 3 types: people, databases and file storages.

2. To support the process of design (1), it is vital to take into account the peculiarities of information perception by target audience. The process of perception is based on the semantic model of information [2], according to which a person who possesses some thesaurus in a particular area of knowledge will extract more information from the message than the one not possessing it. In other words, a preliminary increase in the thesaurus of the information transmitter will lead to an increase in information that the receptionist will take. The thesaurus (2) is a dictionary that most fully encompasses terms and concepts of the subject domain, which should promote correct communication, understanding in communication and interaction of people connected by one object, subject area, etc..

                                                           (2)

where   is the set of terms reflecting the subject area,  is the set of relations between elements of the W set. According to [3], statistical methods are employed to solve the problem of thesaurus compiling. Such methods include, for example, direct counting of the number of pairs (freq), t-test, χ2-test, etc. The initial data for analysis is presented in the form of text corpus, which is formed on the basis of various sources used by a certain target audience (books, websites, reviews, etc.).

The implementation of the above tasks is based on monitoring the process of perceiving the impact of information by potential consumers either indirectly through the study of website user behaviour or directly through the study of data contained in the company's CRM-system. To study the behaviour of users of the site, web analytics systems are used. The system software is implemented using the web programming languages (PHP) and the MySQL database to organise the storage of thesauri of the business environment categories and to download data from the company's storages.

To sum up, the information system of content creation support for media information resources has been developed. This system allows managing the process of informational impact on the company business environment. Further research into the problem could consider the influence of the form of content presentation in the process of informational impact.
