Methods of development of electronic edition

Abstract: The article deals with the concepts of electronic edition, reveals the main features and functions of the electronic edition, examines the main provisions for the development of electronic edition. The relevance of this study is that the rapid process of computerization of education on the basis of modern computer systems entering the country's educational institutions opens the way for electronic edition in education.

Key words: electronic edition, concept, educational process, modern computer systems, education, hypertext.

The introduction of information technology in education depends not on the number of computers, but on the quality of teaching aids and methodological support for their use. An integral part of informatization in educational activities is an electronic edition.

The electronic edition is an educational electronic publication containing a systematic exposition of the academic discipline, its sections, parts, corresponding to the curriculum, supporting the main links of the didactic cycle of the learning process, which is an important component of the individualized active educational environment and officially approved as this type of edition.

The electronic edition is a new form of textbook that has more possibilities for organizing the educational process and can be used as not only a source of information, but also a tool for performing practical, laboratory work, writing assignments, monitoring various processes, etc. When working with an electronic edition, the teacher can offer assignments that were given when working with an ordinary paper textbook.

It is necessary to understand that on the one hand, the electronic edition is an element of the pedagogical system of the university and, accordingly, is associated with its other integral elements, as: teacher, student, educational process and the main means of educational and methodological support of the electronic educational process aimed at forming general, general professional and professional competences. On the other hand, being an aggregate of certain functioning elements, the electronic edition is a quality management system for learning.

Application of the electronic edition:

1. For independent work of students:

- facilitates the understanding of the material being studied at the expense of other methods of presentation, individual approach, impact on auditory and emotional memory other than in the printed textbook;

- Admits the adaptation in accordance with the needs of students, the level of their training, intellectual abilities and ambitions;

- free from cumbersome calculations and transformations, allowing you to focus on the subject matter, consider more examples and solve more problems;

- provides opportunities for self-testing at all stages of work;

- performs the role of mentor, presenting an unlimited number of explanations, repetitions, tips and stuff.

2. In practical classes, the teacher can:

- to conduct employment in the form of independent work for computers, leaving behind the role of a manager and consultant;

- Using a computer to quickly and effectively monitor the knowledge of students;

- use computer support to solve more tasks, free up time for analyzing the solutions received and their graphic interpretation.

3. Allows you to take lectures and practical lessons, material at your own discretion, possibly smaller in volume, but most significant in content, leaving for the independent work with the electronic edition what is left outside the classroom.

4. Allows you to optimize the ratio of the number and content of examples and tasks considered in the audience and asked at home.

5. Allows individualization of work with students, especially in the part related to homework and control activities.

The interface of the electronic edition should combine the integrity of perception and the logic of action. How to achieve such a combination? First of all, everything in it must be accessible and understandable. The main component of the textbook is information, and nothing should distract from it, including interface elements. The interface is just a way of organizing information, a system for managing it.

Basic requirements for electronic edition.

Since the electronic edition is perceived from the screen, it has its own peculiarities.

1. The text of the textbook is located in the frame on the screen. Instead of frames, you can use pop-up windows, where you place pictures, lists of definitions, pointers, comments.

2. To better understand, assimilate and memorize the material, it is necessary to use the technical capabilities: animation, sound, color, illustrations. Inclusion of special fragments will help to model complex physical and technical processes.

3. Chapters should be shorter than book ones, they must be broken down into discrete fragments that contain one narrow question. As a rule, such a fragment consists of two or three paragraphs.

4. It is necessary that in one of the frames there is always a table of contents of the book, which allows, without flipping through the pages, to quickly jump to the desired section or fragment and also to quickly return back.

5. It is necessary to select keywords, terms, names, so that by clicking on them with the mouse button, you can call hyperlinks with explanations of the meanings of these words or a comment on the computer screen.

6. Use headers or footers on each electronic page so that the learner does not lose orientation in the textbook.

When creating an electronic edition, it is necessary to take into account the whole set of receptions, methods, and production methods for producing graphic and audiovisual information, taking into account the reproduction of electronic edition from a local media, a local network or educational Web sites of the World Wide Web.

Electronic editions should:

- focus on modern forms of education, while ensuring compatibility with traditional teaching materials, in full accordance with the documents regulating the content of education;

- take into account age-related psychological and pedagogical characteristics of students;

- to maximize the benefits of audiovisual presentation of learning materials: observable and hidden, real and imaginary elements, objects, phenomena, processes;

- use the possibilities of computer modeling in the domain, as well as modeling of the real environment and the natural behavior of the trainee in it.

The development of technology has provided a new, unique opportunity to conduct classes - distance learning. Thanks to distance education, the student can choose the time and place for training, it is possible to get education for those who can not traditionally be trained for various reasons. Distance learning allows the use of various modern information technologies, including electronic textbooks, which can combine both information material in the form of text, drawings, graphics, video, etc., and practical material with dynamic verification: tests, tests etc. All this can best be done in the form of a web site, the layout of which will be done using the modern HTML5 hypertext markup language and cascading style sheets of the third generation CSS3.

Hypertext Markup Language HTML5 is not a continuer of the hypertext markup language, but a new open platform designed to create web applications that use audio, video, graphics, animation, and more. Those who switched to HTML5 already saw one of the advantages of the code is the simplicity of creating, the use of clean code. The fifth update is better than previous versions of the HTML language in that tables and div blocks were deleted forever. Now elements such as footer, aside, as well as nav, article, header are used. The most global change, felt even by users far from programming, was the playback of flash animations, video, and online listening to music without additional drivers in the browser window itself. The transfer of data to the server has also been improved and optimized for ease of entry. Now in HTML5, all errors will promptly notify the user, which makes it easier to work with the site. To expand the boundaries was also possible in web design: so rich a choice of design of games, own sites, which proves the effectiveness of the 5 version. As mentioned above, without additional software, you can implement a beautiful animation or original game on your site with the help of the innovation canvas.

Advantages of HTML5:

- It does not require the installation and regular updating of additional browser plug-ins for the use of electronic textbooks.

- There is no need to purchase expensive commercial software products for creating or editing multimedia textbooks.

- Higher productivity, economical consumption of computing resources.

- Multiplatform (compatibility with all common operating systems and mobile devices);

- Ability to use 3D graphics and hardware acceleration.

All the above advantages of HTML5 allow you to create the layout of an electronic edition with maximum convenience and fill it with completely different material: text, pictures, animations, video, various testing materials. With the proper use of all these tools, you can create educational material that is many times greater than ordinary books and with which it will be very interesting to work. And most importantly, it can be opened on any device, just by going into the browser.

Based on the foregoing, it can be seen that electronic edition developed with HTML5 are convenient for a number of reasons. To which it is possible to carry the following:

- creating once such a layout, you can make a lot of printed literature in a convenient electronic form;

- flexible language HTML5 allows you to output absolutely any information in the browser, which will make the textbook interactive;

- in order to open it you only need a computer or other device with access to the Internet, which means that it can be used almost everywhere.
