Activity of the officer as sociocultural factor
Russian army
The modern
army as social institute carries out various functions and one of them was
always sociocultural adaptation, alignment of the military personnel in
relation to cultural, organizational, educational, etc. to norm of society. From
this point of view the army acted as a certain resource of correction of
welfare level of the population (its man's component).
R. A.
Zagidulin [1, page 6] notes that at any form of government the state has to
promote formation of special elite of public servants – cases of officers which
not only provide protection of interests of the state and society against
external and internal military threats, but also are the social group
stabilizing developments. They hold society as from excessive radicalism, and
conservatism. We will add that the role of officers in society is defined also
by influence on processes of sociocultural development of considerable part of
youth of the country passing conscription service.
Socially
closed space of a modern body possesses a number of specific characteristics
that repeatedly increases the importance of a role of the officer.
It is
necessary to carry to such characteristics:
and /
features of social group:
¾ the age
structure of the lower ranks is distributed mainly in the range of 18-22 years,
that is in modern conditions is the group of youth which didn't finish
socialization, with the unstable or poorly created outlook, very differentiated
by various social experience, level of culture and education;
¾ uneven
sexual structure – srochnosluzhashchy only men; presence at a body of a
quantity of female persons (the service personnel, an officers family, etc.)
can't change roughness of a ratio of floors. At the same time the mode and
filling of activity the srochnosluzhashchikh, so, and possibility of
interaction with persons of other floor, is significantly limited;
¾ individual
experience, insufficient for temporary use of stability of a sociocultural
state;
¾ social
isolation from the majority of other groups of people strengthens a
sociocultural susceptibility of recruits;
¾ absence
among them long-term social and psychological communications (related,
friendly) that is defined by a set from various territories and the limited
term of joint stay – 6 months of a teaching department, 6 months of a body.
In general
the group the srochnosluzhashchikh for which sociocultural development the
officers of part bear responsibility, represents a conglomerate of
sociocultural experience, cultural installations, ethnic groups, a level of
development, psychological types of the personality.
/ features
of activity:
¾
authoritativeness of system of the relations, interactions;
¾ a rigid
overregulation of the mode which is defined by authoritativeness of social
institute,
¾ lack of
individual space,
¾ lack of a
free choice of activity,
¾ continuous
stay in group of people,
¾
razorvannost of former social and cultural ties;
¾
impossibility of preference of a kind of activity, definition of a choice in
food;
¾ the
physical and intellectual activity exceeding the level, habitual for the
majority of them;
¾ need to adapt
for new conditions;
¾
requirements to level physical, psychological, professional and other types of
preparation.
Officers in
the Russian army represent the state in specific welfare space, and in this
sense make special social category. In military unit in the conditions of lack
of military operations the officer group completely defines sociocultural norms
and the general atmosphere of activity of big group of youth throughout a long
time in the conditions of social isolation. Actually the officer is a head and
responsible for a condition of big group of male youth with not completely
created sociocultural installations, brief personal experience, often – with
the unripe contingent in the emotional, psychological and social relation. The
passive position or lack of control can bring (and repeatedly brought) in these
conditions to deformation of a welfare situation and formation of the
pathological relations, conditions, situations.
For this
reason requirements to sociocultural development and stability of psychosocial
characteristics of the officer of the Russian army are rather high. Personal welfare characteristics of officers become
significant force in processes of formation of integrity of society,
maintenance of social norm of ideas of the man as the welfare subject.
