Development of a program for calculation of various parameters of electrical circuits

We live in an age when technological progress has reached such a level that increasingly there is a need to simplify the different stages of both production and training, perform scientific research. Such requirements can be seen in many spheres of our society. In particular when training in high schools on the subject «Electrical engineering, electronics & circuitry».

The search for optimal solutions when working with the computer allows you to quickly obtain information on current results and make the necessary adjustments, to implement a deliberate transition from one mode of solving the task to another, modify the settings of an electrical circuit, the accuracy of the solution and more.

For software development we carried out a systematic analysis (preliminary design), which identified the need for it, its purpose and basic functional characteristic properties. In the beginning of the study, singled out, to solve electrical problems three categories of software:

• virtual laboratory works and theoretical studies on the electronic textbooks, which can be used both in lectures and during independent work;

• in practical sessions in the form of tests, in the preparation of the online exam.

 • perform electrical calculations employed during practical work and during the course and diploma projects and research work.

Next, estimated cost and possible effectiveness of the use of these software products, we have made a list of requirements that the user expects from the finished product. Here is setting goals and objectives, for which implementation is being developed and the project itself. In the phase of system analysis, we can distinguish two directions: research and feasibility studies.

In this work it was shown using the software Simulink when modeling the various technical calculations of electrical devices. The advantage of this program is that it can be used even without knowing a programming language, it is most adapted for all users. One of the most popular universal package, which produces electrical calculations is MathCad with the processing of the experimental data and graphing in MS Excel. But experience has shown that there is scope for extending the range of software applications in solving electrical problems.

In everyday life one can observe various solutions to simplify different things. For example, electronic computing device known as a calculator is intended to simplify performing mathematical calculations. With its help it becomes possible to accelerate the process of calculations, which in turn will allow you to move on to more advanced stages. When solving electrotechnical problems range of applications of information technologies is high enough. Our goal is to facilitate mathematical calculations for students.

The aim of this work is to simplify the process of performing mathematical calculations different parameters of electric circuits, by creating software based on Delphi language. Objectives of the study:

1. To determine the purpose of the program;

2. The design of the program;

3. The writing of program code;

4. Revision/improvement/addition.

The planned result. Planned features of the program (in this section functions which will be implemented in the program):

• select the number of plots chain

• selection of elements on each circuit

• selection of connection elements on each circuit

• select known parameters

• calculation of unknown parameters

This section provides ideas for program functions that can be implemented, but perhaps not.

• save results of calculations in Word

• the «Learning» mode.

Possible options: a step by step explanation of the program; a description of the various electric circuit parameters and their relationship.

As electronics open new possibilities of its use in various branches of engineering and science. This included knowledge of the principles, characteristics and parameters of analog and digital parts of the computer, the ability to classify the main instruments in which an electric current flows. It is important to understand in modern integrated systems, that is, to know their properties, characteristics.

If you solve test papers on electronics and papers on circuit design, it is necessary to be able to use a variety of electronic and electrical components devices and circuits, it is also important to be able to estimate the parameters of electronic items, taking into account their feature usage. To facilitate the solution of such problems and developed our program.
