Assessment of primary medical nurses health

Nurses are the carrier of knowlege about health and healthy life, nonetheless most of them aren't so healthy. Because of this attention is focused on their health assessment and problems, that are connested with availability and quality of medical aid which is given them. Nurses attitude to healty life, social and work area can also make significant impact.

We carried out a cross-sectional research, based on the voluntary questionnaire and anamnesis of 53 nurses which work in Children City polyclinic, ¹13,18 polyclinics and Central City Clinic Hospital.

Research showed that 2/3(66.0%) of respondents dont need any medical observation.

According to exacerbation of chronic disease 13.0% of nurses address in medical institutions they work. 8.0% of them receive medical care in specialized medical institutions.13.0% of respondents are engaged in self-medicate.

According to the survey, most of nurses noted their health as good(45.0%), satisfyingly(41,0%), and dissatisfying(4.0%). 10.0% of respondents did not allowed rating.  Data is presented in figure below.

Medical history of respondents identified revealed chronic disease structure: diseases of digestive system (32.3 %), genitourinary system (16.2%), circulatory system (14.4 %), respiratory (11.7 %), nervous system (8.5%), bones and joints (7.6%), ear and mastoid (4.7%), eye and its appendages (4.6%).

Evaluation of medical care by nurses revealed a partial satisfaction with the quality of care (71.6 %).

The main reason of discontent is in high price of medicines (50,7%), unavailability of inpatient treatment (29.1 %), presence of low-skilled specialists (12.3%), and their own reasons related to the violation of medical prescriptions (8,0%).

It is clear that there is a high constant of chemical, toxically and allergenic materials which are connected with work area of nurses. Also medical work area means frequent cases of infections, some bacterial diseases; over 9,5% of respondents had noted this fact.

Our cross-sectional research revealed health dependence of several factors, those are the main ones: the adverse psychological climate in the family, frequent stress , conflicts between members, lack of health prevention activities, irregular and poor nutrition, limits in availability of highly qualified specialized medical care and t. e.

Despite the meaning of health in medicine, nurses mostly have bad habits. 72,8% of them drink alcohol with a different frequency, 14,0% nurses smoke. Most of respondents had notes big motivation to sport. Unfortunately there are big problems with realization because of time lack, hard workload, prices in gyms and sections.

Thus, it should be noted that evaluation of research group and the state formation of health are influenced by their professional knowledge and professional skills. The lack of systematic effort and activity in the formation of a healthy lifestyle that dictates the advisability of developing evidence-based health interventions and rationalization of work and rest of nurses by integrating the principles of a healthy lifestyle.

There is expediency in development of evidence-based health interventions; rationalization of work by integrating the principles of a healthy lifestyle.
