of the General Practice Doctor
It is known that
social value of being doctor is historical spiritual basis and authority of
humane medicine. However, with the beginning of crisis the
socio-economicproblems andprofessional, moral duties of medical staff worsened
in the market economy. In our investigation we explored
the questions of social protection, searching reserves that will reduce labor
and economic loss, learning lifestyle, protection of health and labor of
medical staff and general doctors.
To
achieve our tasks we used modern methods of scientific research: sociological,
analytical, statistical, content analysis and historical. Special forms of
interview were prepared and handed around. 110 general doctors of Almaty city
polyclinic were being involved in this social interview. As a result we had got
information about doctors’ experience of changing specialization, upgrade of
qualification their working conditions, health, lifestyle, financial situation
and plans for the future.
According
to doctors’ meanings the government protects only 8.7% of specialists another
91.3% don’t feel it. GD said that there are a lot of problems among outstanding
problems of government including 92.7 % of low salary, 43.6% oflegal and
professional insecurity, 32.2% of unsecured old age, 23.7% of outstanding
apartment problems, 23.1% of less places of rest and treatment, 22% of no
benefits. The level of financial situation of doctor affects to the value of
social and legal supports by the side of the government, the less financial situation
the worse the value.
As

adaptation. The prestige isn’t the main motive however it plays its role in
choosing job. Devotion to medicine was founded in the period of choosing medical
profession. More than 60 % of people chose medical profession because they
liked it and were confident in their decisions. Nevertheless some of them,
about 20.3%, hesitated when choosing the profession, 10.4% of doctors

scale assessment of performance side of doctors’ life was used for analysis of
their life value. The 4.8 point was given to the doctors’ answer about
importance of good conditions to save and protect the family and health. The
second place took the answer about having an interesting and independent job
(4.5 point). On the third place is the answer about satisfying financial situation
(4.4 point). The answer about having an opportunity in development and job
growth took the fourth place, satisfying with the spiritual needs took 5th
place, satisfying with good conditions of having a rest 6th place.
Hard to understand why ambitions to social vocation or authority took the last
place. According to the answers of importance of life planes for the nearest
future, the most important one was demand to make better financial situation.
Solving problems, related with the kids and other members of the family took
the second place in our survey. The problem with the chronic diseases among the
doctors explains their answer to have a rest and get the medical treatment in
the sanatoriums.
The
conception related with the high status of doctor in the society was fully
examined in our research. 40.4% of doctors, ignoring the aspect of high
financial situation were giving the answers about the importance of the
doctors’ role and respect among the population. 21.7% of specialists related
high status of the doctor with financial situation, 18%- related high status of
