Milk productivity of cows’ foreign selection in the conditions of LLP by Maylin

The most important indexes of the successful adaptation of imported live – stock are their high productivity, realization of normal reproductive function, adaptation to intensive industrial technology, local climatic conditions, and feed efficiency. However, a living organism in new ecological and feed conditions either degenerates, or adapts to the unusual conditions, herewith undergoing certain changes in exterior, interior and economically useful features.

That’s why the research of economic and biological signs, as well as adaptive capacities of imported life – stock nowadays is really actual.

For the enrich of the genofund of domestic black – pied breed 2 thousand heifers were imported into Kazakhstan from Germany for the last 20 years. Even so the adaptation process of imported stock proceeds in Kostanai region rather difficult.

Therefore the aim of this study was a comparative research of the productive characteristics of black – pied Holstein breed of domestic and foreign selection.

The investigations were carried out in conditions of LLP by Maylin of Taranovskiy region. The purebred herd of clinically healthy cows of black – pied Holstein breed, imported in 2010 from Germany and local population at the age of the third section, served as material for research. To carry out the research two groups of cows with 50 heads in each one were formed by the method of pairs – analogues.

The experimental groups were in identical terms of feeding and housing of animals being used in the production on the farm. Milk production of the cows was estimated according to the control information of milkings and tribal cards F – 2 mol. for the first three lactations. The results are shown in table 1.

So black – pied Holsteins cows of the 1st lactation outnumbered local ones by productivity for 892.4 kg, by butterfat content for 0.11%, and the content of albumen in milk for 0.18%. The difference of the 2nd lactation is 591.36 kg, 0.4% and 0.12% accordingly in favor of German cows. By the third, lactation their milk yield and protein content was higher than of the local cows for 363.32 kg and 0.05%

The precise interrelation between productivity and live mass of dairy cows was found out. With the increase of live mass of cow’s milk yield of the local breeding also increased.

It should be noted that by live weight and maintenance of fat in milk of the German cows were more uniform independently of age, than their contemporaries of the local selection. However they had a large variation in the content of protein in milk.

Accordingly the black – pied Holstein cows of German selection are able to adapt to the conditions of Kazakhstan and have high rates of milk productivity.
