Innovative
pedagogical technology: the key to the development of modern higher education
The
development is an integral part of any human activity. Accumulating experience,
improving methods and ways of action, extending our mental capabilities, we are
also constantly developing.
The
labor market determines the need for qualified professionals with a high level
of competence. This leads to the need to improve and generate new educational
content, in fact, to determine the algorithm of innovative style of activities.
This
algorithm is applied to any human activity, including pedagogical. At different
stages of development, the society needed more new standards, requirements for
labor. This necessitated the development of educational system.
Science,
like every industry has its ups and downs. In recent decades, the quality of
education of our country has significantly deteriorated and the level of
education nationwide has decreased. Reasons are: the nonaccordance of the
structure of specialist training in the real needs of the economy, reducing of
the quality of education, corruption in higher education, isolation from
scientific research, the slow pace of integration into the European and global
intellectual space.
As for
the current state and dynamics of the quality of Ukrainian education in general
and higher education in particular, there are many different, often conflicting
assessments.
After
becoming an independent state, Ukraine inherited the previous reforms. The
education sector was no exception. On one hand, at one time, this system was
sufficiently developed in the component of fundamental and natural, technical,
medical, pedagogical, military training, and on the other hand – it was
extremely insensitive to changes, narrow specialized, had excessive
ideologization of the educational process, narrowed principles of democracy.
Also, there was the destruction of professional and technical education, lack
of qualified staff work specialties, impossibility for many graduates to find
jobs in their field, the inflation of educational and professional standards,
excessive burden on teachers and inadequate funding of universities, the
increase of the level of corruption in universities etc.
The
development of Ukrainian education system should be in the direction of
building a single European space and to keep up with the advanced countries of
Western Europe.
Therefore,
one way to modernize the education system in Ukraine is the introduction of the
learning process of innovative pedagogical techniques and methods.
The reform strategy should be selected as creation of a new system of education
that would provide each person getting knowledge and constantly replenished
throughout its active life – a system of continuous education.
The
reforms of education should involve all levels of the education system – its
structure, content, teacher training, management, financing etc. After all, for
the effective implementation of these important issues, you need to update
based on actual world trends in education in the broader social and economic
context.
Urgent
is also restructuring of the educational process downward classroom learning
and increase student self-study and individual work. At the same time it
requires substantial adjustments of essence, content and technology of
teaching. What is happening to us under the banner of innovation in the form of
a distance or correspondence learning, sometimes already proven correspondence,
discredits our higher education, reduces its quality and authority both in
Ukraine and abroad.
Therefore,
in order to the possibility of Ukrainian higher education truly to develop we
immediately need to make changes to its reforms.
Today in Ukraine the promotion of innovative movement promotes the formation
authorial schools of innovative type. Their activities are focused on the
formation of new, alternative concepts and educational systems.
As
Mykhaylo Zgurovsky, rector of the National Technical University of Ukraine
"Kyiv Polytechnic Institute" noted in his article "... at the
beginning of the third decade of independence understanding of the public has
come, that the current Law of Ukraine "On Higher Education" exhausted
its regulatory and reformative resource and does not meet the requirements of
time and international standards. There is an urgent need for reorientation of
the national system of higher education and research for the preparation of
such human capital, which provides innovative development of the country
through close cooperation between higher education, science, business and
government. At the time exist the expansion of university autonomy in line with
European standards, the introduction in Ukrainian higher education European
system of academic work of students (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation
System (ECTS), the strengthening of management of higher education and the
labor market, the establishing the principle of equality of all universities
and their ownership faculty members, the improving of social insurance of
teachers and students, the expanding the access for young people to higher
education regardless of social or financial status, the combating of corruption
in higher education and other advanced European standards".
Rapid
changes in the information of society intensified the need to update
information and educational environment.
Modernization
of education system is associated primarily with the introduction of innovative
technologies educational environment, based on a holistic model of the
educational process, based on the dialectical unity of methodology and means of
implementation. Since educational innovation activities should enhance of the
competitiveness of high school graduates, achieving better development of our
society, is the main task of higher education is the quality preparation of
highly qualified specialists in accordance with innovative technology to the next
activity.
