Morality in islam
The words "morality", "morals",
"ethics" are close in meaning. But they appeared in three different
languages. "Morality"(нравстенность), the Russian word, derived from the root of "like." It first
came to the dictionary of Russian language in the XVIII century and began to be
used along with the words "ethics" and "morality" as its
synonym. So in the Russian language, there are three words with approximately
the same value. Over time, they acquired some shades of meaning that
distinguish them from each other. But in practice, usage of these words almost
interchangeably (and their shades of meaning can almost always catch on
context).
Translated from the Arabic word "Islam"
means submission, obedience, surrender, peace. Islam stands for complete
submission and obedience to Allah. Islam has always carried the people of peace
and grace. And anyone who truly profess the Islamic faith, a person who inspires
confidence in everyone. He has no words, no matter of not causing anyone any
harm.
Islam - this is the true religion. Islam - the
religion of monotheism, ie belief in Islam is based only on faith in Allah. It
teaches humility and the worship of God alone.
Islam - a
world religion. The laws of the religion of Islam to meet all the needs of
people.
Islam - the religion of peace and love. One of the
main purposes of Islam is to bring people's hearts love for each other, respect
the rights of others, compassion, morality, and that they may dwell in
tranquility and in the world. Islam does not approve of entertainment and
recreation, which stimulate the passions and undermine the moral canons. They
are a waste of time, money, energy and destroy the moral fabric of society. The
role of morality in Islam is more than important for faith, piety, and morality
is coherent and interrelated elements of the same chain. The purpose of the
religion of Islam is to make people happy. People who adhere to the laws of Islam,
will get happiness in this and future lives. The Islamic religion includes
three categories:
1. Iman faith.
2. Amal-action.
3. Ahlyak – morality.
Ahlyak in Islam is of great value and significance.
One of the goals of Islam - to bring highly moral people. Prophet Muhammad
said: "I sent down to you to improve morality." A Muslim is evaluated
on its morality. In the Hadis of Prophet Muhammad said: "Most of my
favorite and the closest to me on Judgement Day who has high morals." They
asked the Prophet Muhammad: "What are the beloved servants of
Allah?". The Prophet replied: "Those who have high morals." As
the commission of worship is a duty, so compliance with the laws of morality is
the commandment of Allah. In essence the purpose of Islam is distant from the
bad deeds and education in their high morals. Ahlyak is a habit, which were
included in the human soul. These habits mechanically manifested in our actions
and relationships.
In our souls infused two kinds of habits:
1. Good
habits.
2. Habits. The motion of our bodies is connected with
our soul. If in our minds put good habits. Then the mode of action of our
bodies will be good. These good actions are called good morals. And if our
souls are placed habits. That the actions of our bodies will be bad. And this
is called bad morals. To ensure that our actions were correct. We need to
purify the soul from bad habits and put the good habits. A renowned scholar
Fethullah Gülen said: "Educating people is like a dress that hides
his nakedness and protect from prying eyes. If a person is rude, it is like one
who is deprived of clothing. "He who has true faith, know that Allah sees
all the actions he performs, and he knows that there are angels who record his
actions. He also believes that the Day of Judgement will be brought to him all
the acts that he committed in this life. And believes that if he performed good
deeds will get a reward for doing, and if he committed bad deeds, it will be
punished. Religion has always played a key role in developing high value, and
role models were the prophets of Allah. They have left us examples and ideals
of moral perfection, the instruction in words and deeds, so that we can attain
perfection and live happily confessing high morale. The Prophet Muhammad - a
man with high morals, which gave him the Most High. He received his morality,
which commanded us in the Qur'an, he incorporated all the best qualities of
man. When asked Mrs Aisha (his wife) about the prophet Muhammad is said:
"His morality - it is the Quran". Prophet Muhammad taught the laws of
morality, and he lived on them. He never deviated from the laws of morality and
goodness. And his good deeds were an example for people. The Quran says:
"For you in the Messenger of Allah, an exemplary model for those who hope for
Allah's mercy and good Judgement Day and remember Allah often". In this
verse Allah commands us to imitate the Prophet's life Muhammad. We should
strive to acquire good knowledge about his highly moral life and only took her
as his example. The Quran mentions the fear of God, as one of the decent
quality of Muslims: "... the most revered among you before Allah - the
most God-fearing." (Quran 49:13) Humility, self-control, honesty,
sincerity, patience, firmness and loyalty to the word - these are moral qualities,
which are often mentioned in the Qur'an: "... Allah loves the patient
..." (Quran 3:146) " Seek forgiveness of your Lord and Paradise,
whose width is equal to the heavens and the earth, prepared for God-fearing,
who make donations in joy and in sorrow, restrain anger and forgive people.
Verily, Allah loves the doers of good. " (Quran 3:133-134) "Do not
turn away your face from people out of arrogance and marches on land puffy.
Verily, Allah loves not any arrogant men. Go the measured tread and lowers his
voice, for the most unpleasant voice - it's the roar of a donkey. " (Quran
31:18-19) Islam has defined for his followers responsibilities towards the
society around them, which differ from one category of people to another. For
example, in relation to close relatives - parents, children, wife ... - a
Muslim is more duties than with respect to distant relatives and other people:
neighbors, friends, orphans, widows, the poor ... Islam strictly forbids lying
in all its manifestations, because it harms other people and becomes a source
of danger to society. It prohibits the theft, fraud on, slander, gambling,
speculation, because in all of this one person benefits from losses.
Moral
obligation to the people:
1. Does not harm anyone.
2. Help other people.
3. Respect for elders and mercy to the youngest.
4. Greet each other.
5. Do not be angry.
6. Reconcile quarrel.
7. To visit friends.
8. Regale guests.
9. Accept the invitation.
10. Not finding fault with others.
11. To forgive
evil.
12. Visit the sick.
13. Participate in the prayer of al-dzhanaza.
14. Wish for a better Muslim.
