THE ROLE OF INTERACTIVE METHODS IN THE ORGANIZATION
OF INDIVIDUAL STUDENTS’ WORK
Individual work is one of forms of
educational process and its essential component. The main objective is not only
binding, broadening and deepening of acquired knowledge and skills , but also
an individual study and assimilation of new material without assistance.
Individual work is a prerequisite for training competitive specialist in demand
in the labor market . Individual work - is primarily activity associated with
the education of future professional thinking mature person, which will
continue today's students to become highly qualified specialist.
Individual work of students causes a
number of difficulties due to the need to adapt the former students to new
forms of learning. The main difficulty is related to the need to
self-organization of its work.
Many freshmen are experiencing great
difficulties related to the lack of skills of analysis, note-taking, working
with primary sources, the ability to clearly express their thoughts, planning
time, the almost complete lack of psychological readiness for individual work,
ignorance of the general rules of its organization.
ISW can be carried out with the direct
participation of the teacher in joint activities in the classroom, and under
indirect guidance in extracurricular time. The lecture of individual student's work often involves
direct participation in the educational process of the teacher. In this
learning situation, the teacher of "basic level" of pedagogical
process turns into a consultant, assistant to professional master of knowledge.
The changing role of the teacher requires it to apply targeted skills in the
organization of independent cognitive activity interactive teaching methods. It
is known that the term "interactive" is translated from English means
"interaction effect on each other." Thus, interactive learning is a
special form of organization of cognitive activity, in which all participants
actively involved in the cognitive activity. There is special - interactive -
learning mode with well-organized feedback of educational process with
multilateral exchange of information between them. This is not a monologue, or
even a dialogue - it polylogue in which students actualized cooperation with
each other and with teacher.
Modern didactics identifies the
following grounds training organization interactively:
-basis
assimilation of information is the active position of the participants of the
educational process, which involves the use of gaming technology, design
methods, addressing specific situations, etc.
-interaction
promotes intellectual activities, strong-willed, creative development of the
individual;
-there
is a constant change of positions "sender" and "receiver"
of information, it means a change of communicative roles;
-multilateral
exchange of information, albeit slower, but is more accurate and full;
-interactive
learning mode provides for the implementation of the principles of problematical,
contextual learning, motivating students' cognitive activity, and initiative.
Interactive technologies may also
include such local technologies as teaching (training) and organizational
activity games, design, discussion, brainstorming, and others.
Training business game - a kind of a
business game, used for didactic purposes. Recently, it is increasingly used in
the practice of teaching, performing developmental, communication, and
information catalytic function.
Project method is interpreted as a way
to organize independent activities of students, integrating a problematic
approach, group work methods, research, presentational and reflexive
methodology.
Discussion - is a collective discussion
or study of the problem, or collation of information, ideas and proposals. The
debate will only be effective when the participants have an interest
discussion.
Brainstorming involves separation in
time of the main stages of the problem solving process, it means steps of
generating ideas and constructive study.
Thus, the interactive mode of classroom
organization in students' individual work can significantly supplement the
individual experience of future specialists
