MODERN TECHNOLOGY IS PROFESSIONAL HYGIENE OF ORAL
CAVITY
According to an
epidemiological survey, the prevalence of caries in adults in Russia reaches
98-99%, and periodontal disease are found in almost 100% of people aged 14
years. Very high prevalence of inflammatory periodontal diseases in Russia,
even among adolescents, youth: 12-year-old-48%, 15-year-old-57%, in the age
group 35-44 years-86%. Only 5% at age 25-44 years have inflammation of the
periodontium, which emphasizes the importance of developing prevention [5,8].
Regular rational
use of toothbrush, paste, floss, irrigator, and other devices does not
guarantee the absence of plaque and Tartar on the teeth. To get rid of them is
often able only a professional oral hygiene performed by the specialist in the
dental office. This set of measures is an important procedure necessary for
every person at least once in six months [7,9].
Thus, consider
the event you need for oral health care in General, prevention of inflammation
and prevention of various diseases of hard tissues of teeth and periodontium.
The procedure consists of a set of dental measures: removal of hard dental
plaque; removing soft and semi-soft bacterial plaque; polishing surface of the
dentition; fluoridation of teeth.
Methods and
means of professional hygiene of oral cavity: There are two ways of removing
Tartar and plaque – hardware manual (manual) [3].
Most
physiological, effective and efficient in removing plaque from tooth surfaces
is achieved when used in the dental office air-abrasive method [1].
Air-abrasive
(powder-jet) method, or the method of air polishing is the most gentle, rapid
and convenient methods presented to date in the dental practice [2]. At
The quintessence
of the development of air abrasive technology in dentistry is the appearance of
a safe abrasive that can work under the gum and destroy the biofilm by 100 %.
This powder Air-Flow Perio (EMS) glycine particle size of 25 microns, which is
inserted under the gum (in contrast to the conventional technique of
air-abrasive machining of the tooth when the tip is directed away from the
gingiva at a distance of 3-5 mm from the surface of the tooth and 2 mm from the
gingival margin) when the pocket depth of 5 mm regular tip Air-Flow or Air-Flow
handy when greater than 5 mm deep periodontal pocket special tip Perio-Flow or
Perio-Flow handy [3,6,8,9].
The mechanism of
action Perio-Flow air-abrasive treatment of subgingival tooth surfaces using
the same tip, like Air-Flow, only the sterile, disposable tip Perio providing
triple cone-shaped flow - easy access and circulation of glycine powder, air
and water[4,6,8]
Vector (Durr
Dental, Germany) is an ultrasonic dental system designed for the minimally
invasive treatment of inflammatory periodontal diseases, micro-invasive
preparation of hard tooth tissues and the finishing of restorations.
The key element
of the "Vector" system is a resonant ring in the head of the
handpiece. Ring, United with the working part at an angle of 90°, is driven by
an ultrasonic motor (25000 Hz). The resulting motion completely eliminates the
conventional elliptical vibrations in the process of the work tool in almost
all areas of contact with the surface of the tooth movement speed of the nozzle
are the same, and the acceleration or lack of movement is formed. Longitudinal
oscillation of the nozzle, thus obtained virtually eliminate tool vibration and
uncontrolled lateral movement [3].
Professional
oral hygiene - the guarantee of health of the oral cavity and modern ways of
carrying out hardware provide efficiency and convenience in operation.
