Experience in the application of hemostatic cone Parasorb
after extraction of permanent teeth
Postextraction wound healing
by a secondary tension. Epithelialization takes place in a two - or three-week
period. 3-4 days after removal of the development of granulation tissue, and by
day 14 the hole is completely filled it. 2 weeks after surgery at the bottom
and side walls of the wells appear osteogene ravine, and to the 45 day
completely filled spongy bone tissue [4, 5, 6]. By the end of the 3rd month
newly formed bone does all the alveoli. By the end of 4-6 months
radiographically to distinguish the hole from the surrounding bone is not
possible. [1, 2,3] The study used material Alvostaz and collagen cones Parasorb.
The alvostaz — hemostatic and antiseptic compress after dental extraction. The
alvostaz (sponge) represent collagen hemostatic cubes of 1x1 cm is impregnated
with the respective solution.
Part 1 of the cube contains:
eugenol, iodoform, thymol, calcium phosphate, lidocaine, butylperoxybenzoate,
propolis. The alvostaz is a special tool for the prevention and treatment of
alveolitis. Introduced into the alveolus of the Alvostaz quickly relieves inflammation
and pain. The drug exerts its effect for several hours, then gradually
dissipates in the hole of the tooth. The therapeutic composition does not cause
inflammation of the mucous membrane of the oral cavity. When using the material
as a prophylactic agent, the drug in a very short time promotes painless
healing of the tooth.[7]
The composition of the
material Parasorb includes native horse collagen fibers, gentamicin sulfate.
The material is not toxic, not irritating to the alveolar socket. The drug Parasorb
available in 3 types: collagen cone collagen membrane, collagen sponge. When
introduced into the extraction socket, cone Parasorb tight to the edges of the
extraction wound, which provides haemostatic and antiseptic effects. Resorbed
within 2-4 weeks. Clinical trials have shown high efficiency in the process of
epithelialization of the hole.
The purpose of the study to
Study the efficacy of hemostatic drug Parasorb after extraction of permanent
teeth.
Materials and methods. To
study the effectiveness of the drug Purasorb the study was conducted from
January 2017 to August 2017 among patients referred for operation of tooth
extraction with a diagnosis of exacerbation of chronic or chronic periodontit
permanent tooth. The study involved 80 people (42 men and 38 women) aged 15-35
years. For examination patients were
used clinical research methods (survey, inspection), and additional methods of
investigation (x-ray). The diagnosis of chronic periodontit had 53 patients,
and the diagnosis of exacerbation of chronic periodontitis 27 patients.
Patients were divided into 3
groups. After surgical intervention (surgery removal of permanent teeth) in the
area of extraction wound of the 1st group of patients (20 people) the hole was
closed with cotton-gauze swab, the material is not laid, the 2nd group of
patients (25 people) were laid hemostatic material Alvostaz, 3rd group of
patients (35 people) set collagen cone Parasorb. Recommendations for the care
of a hole. On examination, the patients were invited on 4th day, 7th day and
14th day after tooth extraction. The effectiveness of healing was evaluated
with regard to the General condition of the patients and their complaints, and
clinical examination.
Results and discussion all
80 patients extraction wound epithelization at different speeds depending on
the drug used. Thus, in patients after removal of a permanent tooth, the hole
was closed with cotton-gauze tampon, the formation of granulation tissue
occurred in 4 days in 19 patients (95%). Complaints patients showed pain in the
day of the removal, odor was absent. Patients who pawned the article
"Alvostaz" and Parasorb the development of granulation tissue
occurred on the 4th day 100% (60) of the cases. In group II patients complained
of a pungent smell "pharmacies" mouth for 2 days, pain after the
removal complained of 3 people. In group III, patients complaints of pain after
the removal, bad breath is absent. Among patients of group I wells
epithelialization was achieved in 35% of patients (7 people) at day 14. In
group II, the healing of the hole in 8 patients (32%) occurred on the 7th day,
the remaining 17 patients (68%) at day 14. In patients who were laid collagen
cone Parasorb for 7 days in 100% of cases (35) hole epithelization.
Thus, this study shows the
efficacy of the drug Purasorb after extraction of permanent teeth. Collagen
cone promotes early healing of postextraction wound, and part of the cone
gentamicin sulfate reduction of pain and inflammation in the hole.
