Analysis of the Kazakh User blog platform and social network Kaznet
Internet is the most promising part of the information
space - from a technological point of view, and it is the most powerful
platform for the realization of human rights of access to information and
freedom of expression .
In the process
of communication in cyberspace " internetyane " create and maintain
certain patterns , norms and rules of behavior, obey some universal structures,
turn out certain socio-cultural resources , build information stratification
system, in other words, create a virtual network community.
For connectedness to society in Kazakhstan,
it is important to obtain a more accurate portrait of the user, his preferences
and the level of e-readiness. Such data can give the representatives of social
networking and blogplatform.
This article
presents the results of a study of popular social networks and blogplatform of
Kazakhstan's segment of the Internet in the period from 1 January 2012 to 1
January 2013. The material of the research was the analysis of 3,000
questionnaires - tests on the use of social networks and the blogosphere . For
the survey was used test, which consists of 20 questions for the diagnosis of
Internet addiction , developed by leading researcher of the problem Kimberly
Young, as well as 20 additional questions concerning the socialization of the
individual in Kazakh society of
Internet communications . It is necessary to consider that the data are
subjective, the only source of information was the respondents to the proposed
profile.
According to
the socio-demographic characteristics of the sample of respondents, the primary
audience is students and those who they were five years ago. It should be
noted, that the dominant gender is male – 62%.
About 89% of
respondents indicated that in some way they are in communication via blogging.
87% of respondents indicated that they are interested in reading other people's
blogs. This testifies to a demand for doing blog sites in Kaznet.
On the one
hand, for this target group blogs are a source of information, on the other there is a skepticism to the
information provided in the blogs. This duality is easy to explain with the
current level of development of Kazakh blogosphere about where it fits into the
current functionality of the media. But not a professional network journalism
leads to distrust the information contained in the blogs.
It is worth
noting that the majority of respondents consider it is possible to be legally
responsible for writing in the blog, designed for the general reader - this
testifies to the fact that the form of this task force recognizes the blogs
media and all the legal aspects associated with this status. The most
unexpected thing is that the target audience is students, who are prepared to
defend its position, given the network in real life in the form of a meeting or
the currently popular flash mob.
Entertainment,
the most demanded part of the blogosphere, ranked first, probably most users
perceive writing blogs as a way of varied and interesting pastime. Function of
memoirs testifies that man realized the need to express his views, experiences
and momentary emotions.
The analysis
showed that for the audience is peculiar personal development priority,
apparently, this need realized through reading blogs devoted to news,
interesting facts, etc. Next in priority is professional development, that is
data associated with the process of professional development. And the last
value is educational activity as interesting and little-as poorly represented
in blogs for respondents.
Almost equal
values took ease of communication and the ability to communicate simultaneously
with several people, because it is the main characteristic of all electronic
communication. Lack of eye contact and opportunities to say whatever you want,
as well as talks on current topics - all links in a chain - the psychology of
personality on the Internet, after all, these figures say about the
impossibility, inability to show his "I" in real life.
The study
clearly draws a portrait of Kazakhstan's Internet user and the dual nature of
specific use of social networks and blogs by young students as tools of mass
communication.
