MODULAR
TECHNOLOGY OF TRAINING AT THE HIGHER SCHOOL
Modulno
training proceeds that the module is rather independent part of any system
bearing a certain functional loading. In the training theory the role of
functional loading is carried out by certain "doseinformation or the
actions, necessary for formation of this or that professional knowledge and
skills of future expert. Taking into account told it is possible to give the
following definition of the module: "The training module is logically
complete form of part of the maintenance of the subject matter, including
informative and the professional aspects, which assimilation has to be complete
the corresponding form of control of knowledge, the skills created as a result
of mastering trained this module".
Modules
are developed by certain rules, them treat:
1) the formulation is more whole than training;
2) selection and structuring the
maintenance of a training material according to goals;
3) development of criteria of an assessment of results of the doctrine;
4) development of control tasks for carrying out self-checking.
At modular training in
the center of attention there is an activity of the trainee. The training
material of modules in any measure is pragmatic. Pragmatism, a training
material is shown that it focuses being trained for reflection, on training, on
a choice and the analysis of options. Modular training has some fundamental
differences from traditional training. First, the content of training is
submitted in the form of the finished independent complexes modules on
subjects. Secondly, interaction of the training and trained are under
construction on subject - the subject relations and are carried out by means of
the module.
By means of modular
training it is possible to solve some actual problems in the field of education quickly to change a training
material depending on new opening in science and equipment; more effectively to develop ability to self-education at students; to integrate the main components of process of training; to create conditions of information training.
Feature of structuring
the educational module consists that the student independently (or with a
certain help) achieves the specific objectives in the course of work with the
module. The module is a target functional knot in which are integrated the
educational contents and technologies of mastering of.
Module structure as it
was already noted above, is as follows: target plan of action; information bank; methodical guide to achievement of the didactic purposes.
Modules are subdivided
into three types: informative, used when studying
fundamentals of sciences; operational which are
necessary for formation and development of ways of activity; the mixed, containing first two components.
At modular training the
maximum time is allowed for independent work. The trainee studies a
goal-setting, planning, the organization, self-checking and a self-assessment
that gives the chance to it to realize itself in the educational activity, most
to define level of development of knowledge, to see gaps in the knowledge and
abilities.
The technology of
modular training assumes also control, the analysis and correction in
combination with self-government. This technology it is very successful to lay
down on credit technology of training as assumes the main emphasis to place for
independent work of the student where the teacher bears fasilitator function.
For example, when studying the course "Technique of Teaching of History",
obligatory formation of practical skills at future teachers is necessary. Such
as, drawing up calendar, pourochny planning; formation is more whole than a
lesson; differentiation and training individualization. Therefore, it is
necessary to break all discipline into modules on subjects which then to
structure in three stages: introduction and motivational, operational and
informative and reflexive and total. So, at the first stage students have to
realize, why and for what they should study this section what exactly should be
acquired and studied. As a rule, it is lectures of introduction character. The
following occupation belongs to cycle SRSP and are called as
"communication occupations", the Main method - work in couples,
individual work where students seize a material according to the textbook, then
grind it in communication with the classmates. And only then "hand
over" to the teacher. The teacher on this occupation, can reproduce on a
board (on the screen) the abstract of lecture occupation by questions which it
is necessary to answer students. Also in a cycle of occupations of this module
the teacher gives tasks of individual character where the student fulfills
skills on the studied materia. The last cycle of occupations, assumes control
and can be submitted for seminar occupations in the form of poll on in advance
matters for independent work, preparation for independent work and actually
independent work. So, modular creation of a training course gives a number of
considerable advantages and is one of effective ways of an intensification of
educational process. Advantages of this technology of training are among:
• ensuring methodical
coordination of all types of educational process in each module and between
them
• system approach to
creation of a course and definition of its contents;
• flexibility of
structure of modular creation of a course;
• effective control over
assimilation of knowledge of students; • identification of the perspective
directions of scientific and methodical work of the teacher.
