УРОК АНГЛИЙСКОГО ЯЗЫКА «SEASONS AND WEATHER»

(6 КЛАСС)

Цель урока: осуществить контроль усвоенного материала.

Основные задачи урока: общеобразовательные: активизация коммуникативных умений; совершенствовать навыки монологической и диалогической речи; способствовать развитию памяти, внимания, логического мышления; развивающие: формировать мотивацию к изучению иностранного языка; развивать интеллектуальные умения; воспитательные: воспитывать понимание красоты и разнообразия окружающего мира; воспитывать эстетическое восприятие мира;

І. Warming up: Greetings

Teacher: People always talk about weather. If it is cold – they talk about weather, if it is hot – they talk about weather. Today we’ll speak about seasons and weather.

But first of all answer my questions.

1. How many days has a year got? 2. How many seasons are there in a year? 3. What are they? 4. What season is the coldest? 5. What season is the hottest? 6. What season brings the first flowers? 7. What season is "tasty"? 8. How many months has got a year? 9. Is the weather good or bad today? 10. Is the sun shining? 11. Are there any clouds in the sky? 12. What colour is the sky? 13. Is the wind blowing? 14. Is it raining (snowing)? 15. What is the temperature today? 16. What kind of weather do you like?

Teacher: Now, pupils, who can tell us about the weather today.

1. English and Russian sayings and proverbs about seasons and weather.

Guess and name the season, translate: 1) Everything is good in its season. 2) A snowy year is a rich year. 3) Rain at seven-fine at eleven. 4) One swallow (ласточка) doesn’t make a spring. 5) After rain comes fair (ясная) weather. 6) April showers (ливни) bring May flowers. 7) A tree is known by its fruit. 8) It’s raining cats and dogs.

4. English traditions: dialogues, situations, speaking.

Teacher: We know that English speak about weather when they meet. It’s a tradition. Why is it so? The weather in England is unpredictable, changeable, wet, foggy, rainy and warm. Now we’ll work in pairs. Look at the situations on the cards you’ve got and make up the dialogues.
