ALUMINIUM DRILL PIPE RATIONAL USAGE ANALYSIS

 Justification and development of practical recommendations to improve the operational reliability of aluminum alloys in the oil and gas industry based on the study of the influence conditions of drill pipes on the structure and properties of aluminum alloys is described in the paper. Methodical base of research is complex analysis and synthesis of the literature and positive experience of operating drill pipe during drilling using expert analysis and evaluation of the obtained data. The result of research is the rationale usage of aluminum drill pipes in oil and gas industry that improves reliability and reduce drill string of failures during drilling. The character of corrosion damage during operation aluminum drill pipe in the borehole corrosive environment. It is proved that aluminum alloys are not prone to stress corrosion cracking, but subjected to contact corrosion in contact with steel lock.  The possibility to use aluminum alloys for the production of drill pipes for drilling oil and gas fields is studied. Practical recommendations for increasing the resource drill pipes during the operation are given. Nowadays the fuel and energy security is crucial. Due to the limited resources of oil and gas deposits have to develop at great depths, use directional drilling angle. Modern drilling technology is designed to increase capacity of equipment or alternative materials. Resources increase capacity drives are limited and economically impractical. The use of alternative materials is the most cost-effective through a large variety of materials. The difficulty in this case is a reasonable choice of material. The options are aluminum alloys known from the last century. During recent years, the experience of high-strength aluminum alloys for the production of deformed drill pipe showed their significant benefits over by steel. Among the main should be noted the low proportion and higher specific strength. This factor is particularly important in the current situation where a growing need to develop new fields in deep and complex geological conditions. Currently, the use of aluminum alloys is limited due to the remnants of conservatism in the oil and gas industry and the lack of practical recommendations for technology and manufacturing conditions of drill pipes of aluminum alloys. Analysis of studies and publications devoted to the subject of work. Alloy drill pipe should be used in the construction of oil and gas wells to a depth of 4000 to 7000 m. It is also used in drilling ultra-deep wells Kola SG-3 plant Uralmash-15000. By 1990, various sizes were used in 26 countries. This is due to the advantages of it:

- High precision manufacturing pipes;

- Increased depth of the well;

- Reduced the number of failures in drilling column;

- No destruction pipes from corrosion fatigue;

- Simplified wiring wells;

- Reduced energy consumption process drilling;

- Reduced transportation costs during transportation;

- Reduced the cost of drilling.

Despite the apparent significant advantages, Ukrainian Enterprises mostly use steel pipes. Drill pipe in the process withstand heavy loads. The main problem in drilling workability is insufficient drill pipe and connecting nodes, which leads to a prolongation of the production process and causes a significant amount of time to replace the pipes that have failed as a result failures. In this regard, employers need to increase the capacity of the column of pipes and increase productivity during drilling. Thus, the problem of improving the reliability of boring columns is topical in today's workplace. Consider the drill string that is intermediate between the surface drilling equipment and chisel, located at the mouth. Conventional drill pipes are made of steel or aluminum alloy circular cross-section, connected by boring locks. The ends of the drill pipe thickens increase their strength. Normal force formed by: the weight of the pipe, which lies on the bottom wall of the hole; pressing force changes in areas of curvature associated with tension columns; clamp (pressure) pipes to the wall of the hole caused by stiffness and clearance. To reduce the magnitude of the moment and the friction forces to save electricity it is advisable to use materials with low weight, therefore lower density. Reducing the density of the material contributes to drill pipes in drilling fluids, reducing requirements for rig capacity, reduces equipment wearing out and transport costs. Construction of wells with extra-long departure is almost mastered a highly efficient mining technology. Construction technology require complex problem solving and construction of drilling horizontal shaft open large extent: - the torque and power of resistance while drilling - cleaning the barrel - the elimination of freeze - down the shank and configurations for the end of the barrel. The use alloy drill pipes of high reliability in the drill column and alloy casing  and alloy tubing is a promising solution to the problems of building  and reduce costs as operating and capital. Thus, prospective drilling methods are based on completely different technologies drilling. New solutions can increase the return on wells while reducing the size and moment of friction during drilling. These innovations require finding and using alternative materials with high specific strength or increase power equipment. Undoubtedly, the most promising and feasible is the selection, testing and use of alternative materials for the manufacture of drill pipe.
