PECULIARITIES OF MASHHUR ZHUSYP KOPEYULI'S PIECE OF ART
"KAZAKH GENEALOGY"
History
of Kazakh literature is obviously understood from significance of word art
inheritance and style. Psychology of nation’s ideology defined in the aspect of
theme, where every character is interrelated to a chain of events. On the way
of formation of Kazakh nation and specification of history development
governmental programs came into effect in order to turn cultural heritage into
generation’s invention. President of Republic of Kazakhstan N.A.Nazarbayev in
his historical allocution pointed out that “Cultural heritage” program should
be national: “render honors to our national culture, increase what we have,
systemized to the future generation mandate, should be the main purpose of the
“Cultural heritage” program.” In the science of Kazakh literature one of the
most important concerns is – genealogical piece of art (sezhire) was not
studied till this moment. It is known that this question was observed in the
art of our literature scientists from different angles. Heritage of Mashhur
Zhusyp Kopeyuli- second half of 19th century and 20th
century, his contribution to develop our literature during firs 30 years
(1858-1931) is divine treasure. In the art of literature his
didactic-philosophic, lyrical, saga-poems express rich noble existence. Poet on
the basis of our nation’s history writes special genealogical composition. In
the national, spiritual culture history researcher S.Dautov contributed to the
first incarnation of Mashhur Zhusyp Kopeyuli’s “Kazakh genealogy” in the
“preface” of this book S.Dautov wrote ”…this genealogy started one hundred and twenty years ago, it
is never been printed, some letters are faded, some places difficult to read…
Interesting Mashhur Zhusyp wrote genealogy unreservedly, he had different
attempt, in his work he described heroes of the place or race, wrote poems
related to a poet, about champion, kyu artist’s legends, including even tale in
verses and kyu. Above all he tried to make it as a illustration to the young
generation, he penetrated all world, gave description, made verified
conclusions, and spread it”. [1,3b]. Yet, Mashhur Zhusyp’s genealogy is written
in a historical facts not only literary art it is deep didactical-humanistic,
aesthetic ideology aimed to achieve sense of future generation high literature
composition. Mashhur Zhusyp’s works have next historical novel-stories with
Kazakh history which is narrated with historical facts:“Kazkh genealogy”, “
History of Orta zhuz”, “Meyram Tarauy”, “Boshan”, “Suindyk”, “Walked kulyk,
kulyk, came to bulyk called Kuldyk”, “Tileyimbet, Nauryz”, “Six from Nauryz”,
“Six borne from Kuandik”, “Altay son of Kuandyk”, “Moyindy tarataik”,
“Sarmantaydan”, “Karakesek”, “Nurbyby”, “Karsyn”, “It is an extract from kazakh
tale taken from Mashhur genealogy”, “Karakereydi soyleik” , “Akbura”, “Shauke
taraulari”, “Basentien, Sirim”, “Basentien”, “Collected words of Mashhur Zhusyp Kopeyuli ”, “History of
forestman”, “History of Kerey ”, " Speech that were describing people of
the past”, “Ulbike”, “Boltirik sheshen”, “Shanyshkali Berdikozha” . Decree of
the idea and style in the genealogy stories can be differentiated as follow:
first-systemized historical facts and stories where narration style is
composite; second- historical characters and tales with distinguished
significant events.
Known Mashhur Zhusyp’s all historical and
literature stories in genealogy lay great store by animating and showing the
devotion to the importance of historical occasions. For instance he starts his
first historical narration in “Kazakh genealogy” with penetration: “Kazakh
people don’t have précised genealogy. “Forgetful who relied on study”
didn’t need knowledge. “Wrong who relied on writing” didn’t need writing. There
is no genealogy which was written in the absence of reading and writing. There
were people which didn’t forget what they heard, have outstanding ability,
people with open, narrative soul. Fathers, which remembered what they heard and
sow, left a lot to the future generation by retelling the tales” [1, 9-b]. In
those passage abstract combinations shows style of piece of art. Example:
“Forgetful who relied on study”, “Wrong who relied on writing”, “outstanding
ability”,” open, narrative soul”, “people which didn’t forget what they heard”,
“Fathers, which remembered what they heard and sow”. These abstract combinations in the structure of genealogy
constitute the main style of above mentioned novel-stories. Historical novel
expositions were styled with descriptive language art tells that genealogy
belongs to the art literature. In some
historical tales of Mashhur Zhusyp’s genealogy plot structure is short. Under certain theme connected with
formation, emerging growth of “Date”, several plot stories compose whole
context. (To indicate the type of unites Ingoda use the term “Date” (the
father, the founder)). Author in that small plot stories like in art literature
creates speaking figures, and gave them own characteristic. In genealogy while
narrating historical data you can distinguish historical figures. For instance
in the first part of Mashhur Zhusyp’s genealogy written short tale that
Kunanbay was leading one hundred and twenty hadj people going to Mekke, and his
silver-tongued gift. As for the part "Meyram
tarauy" stories about Meyram baba, Kuandyk, Suyndyk narrated with effect. Historical characters express their thoughts
through the dialog. Short but enlightening, aesthetically beautiful,
significant tale-stories often used. For example: Aly
son of Kanty, Zhamankol son of Sardjan, Dos batyr and his son Kodjanazar,
Okyrek, Nayman, Tolek got wife of
Kylyshkodjanin's doughter, Fight of akyn Balta and Kunanbay's fight, Alibek and
Aksha, Sakkulak sheshen, nature of Tolegen bay, Ukybay, tricks of Shon bi,
Omirbidin ulagaty, Kurman Kypshaktin blessing,
children of Basentyin Kushik and Syrym, Buka, Kobyr and
their descendants, Zhakay ahun, Asan child of Bayan
like short story tales in Mashhur Zhusyp’s genealogy aesthetically beautiful,
significant aspect felt. Among author’s work even observed that every character
speaks with famous persons aphorisms. For example: Zhankutty
kazhy Botantayuly "Best Kazakh people had bald forehead" /1, 38-á. / with such appreciation, he used his winged words in: "Tobykti Kunanbay- unquenchable source on the top of the mountain, Kypshak Ybyray- inexhaustible strong steel, Musa- unflaky, uncatchable smooth, strong fish, Shingys tore-
cold to muslims, close to russians" /1, 38-39-áá./.
Main difference that describes literature
characteristic of Mashhur Zhusyp’s genealogy – mentioned themes manner’s bigger
part was written in a short tale style. In genealogy to make short stories
comprehensible and historical character to be recognized as personage was used
dialog and monolog. From that side some historical tales in genealogy even was
written with narration of author it shows historical characters in Kazakh
culture ethnographic, physiologic world through dialog and monolog.
In
conclusion, about fine art literature “Genealogy- is written with wing words or
sometimes like a poem, quantity is always different. Our ancestors beginning of
“Taipa” (in Arabic – a tribe, clan), “ruu” (in Kazakh- seed, gender and race at
all) and showing its spreading genealogy and its historical writing monument./2, 224-á./.” That is why we greatly appreciate
Mashhur Zhusyp’s artwork and consider it as a national literature.
